Re: Of course it's IKON
"No ski resort has wasted their full potential more than Killington has. All thanks to two parent companies who screwed them at every opportunity. They should be building a new lift almost every year just to turn over the fleet at a reasonable age. Instead, they can't keep up on basic maintena...

Re: Tyrolean skier ….
I first met Ty in 2003, who was incredibly inclusive to this new pass holder. She anchored the 10 AM meetup and led the way - often trailblazing memorable runs down the mountain. Her passion for skiing was infectious, inspirational, and knew no limits ; the definition of a diehard! RIP skiing siste...

Re: Don't Give Up...Don't Ever Give Up
The "Zone" and I don't always agree, but there are some areas where we align like the stars of Aquarius. Your health and well-being is one of them. There are no words to express the collective dismay, and more importantly, the universal optimism, hope, and faith that we all share that you ...

Killington: A chronic underachiever
I've skied Killington since 1972, and have had some great days on the mountain. I've also skied other resorts in the US, CAN, and the EU. What I can't understand though, is how Killington Resort has never become the World-Class resort that it deserves to be . On paper, its potential sounds phenomena...

Can’t we leave politics out of skiing and just agree to enjoy it?

Mid-week lodging suggestions
I am not a "regular" [Killington skier], but have the highest respect for the mountain and the caliber of skiers it attracts. I think of the mountain more as a Mecca than a beast and trips to Killington are always special. I'd like to "plan" (if that is still possible) a midweek ...

Re: The Powder Highway
Got back from 7 days of skiing in interior British Columbia on 3/7 - just before the Corona virus really began to affect plans. In a sentence, I would highly recommend this region for a destination ski trip . With that said, there are some obstacles to overcome , and this might not be the best trip ...

For those who have skied in British Columbia, Canada or are contemplating such a trip, I wanted to share my initial research and fact-finding experience. For everyone else, forgive me for the cardinal sin on the Zone of :beat 1. Information is hard to come by. Even with the web, there's just not a l...

Re: Nordica Enforcer 100's
The enforcer 100 is a high intermediate to low advanced soft snow ski. It skis very short for it's length due to its short sidecut, short running length and soft damp flex. I'm 225lb and ski it in 193cm with a -2cm (back from recommended midsole, extra long front ski) binding mount, STH2 16. It is ...

Re: Nordica Enforcer 100's
Thanks everyone - a rare consensus in the Zone!da Pimp wrote:Enforcer 100 at Killington should be limited to soft or fresh snow days, it is fairly good on trails to get to/from the "goods" and when things are more tracked out and cruddy later in the day it still plays well.
