Re: Opening Day?
I was at Cannon yesterday. They made some early efforts. Top down. Still snow. The moral of the story is K is not what they used to be. Very unfortunate. Very disappointing. I'll have to revaluate pass purchasing for 25/26 season. You have been giving the same song for the last 3 years but seem to ...

Re: Opening , TTB and World Cup - 2024
I think that hosting the WC [during Thanksgiving] is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, it is great publicity for the mountain and the branded images generated have long lasting impact. The event creates lots of excitement and is a great wake-up call that the season has "officially"...

Re: Killington Spring Economics
It's certainly not crazy, it would be the next best venue to SS and the most cost effective option. Butt they wouldn't be able to show off that boondoggle of a lodge so they won't do it. No, but it would show off those $3.2MM Duplex's they're going to be building out over there beginning in the spr...

The education and GDP production are higher in blue areas because they are urban and suburban areas while the red areas are mostly rural.

Re: Killington Spring Economics
Launchpad terminates at Great Eastern, so not sure what you mean by this. We're obviously talking about the section from Bear Trax to Nivis, which is where they have to bring the snow in scoop by scoop. They could certainly keep it open as long as it still has cover but they won't put more on it af...

Re: Killington Spring Economics
Again, they only had time to go after where posts already are installed this year. Downdraft has none and only the bottom of Cascade from Flume down does and half of those are falling over. That's why they removed the SR7 towers. Double Dipper has the newest infrastructure and that's likely where a...

Re: Opening Day?
After this midweek warmup I would expect K will make snow at any opportunity they get. I understand and agree with not making snow prior to this warmup, but Thursday on I think they will be making snow at any opportunity they have.

Re: Killington's web page
Last year they were toying with cutting out Fridays, even told customer service they were as that's what customer service told me when I called, but then they changed course and ran lifts on Fridays in May.
