Re: Timing of Killington Forward
Interesting. I think they have vastly overestimated the number of working people with the income to live in the village who are able to work remotely full time. There seems to be quite a bit of roll back on that with the very highest paid people being unable to work remotely much at all. I’m sure th...

Re: Superstar chair
The constant arguments about an interconnect are pretty hysterical in this context. Pico is open at best from end of December to the first weekend in April and we have seen that season as short at 1/6-3/15 in recent memory. In addition the interconnect itself is only viable on natural snow for mayb...

Re: Superstar chair
I can’t see them ever letting us walk on and walk off a brand new 6 pack carrying our skis. Times are changing. I remember one year where I think the last 5 or 6 days were walk on and walk off.

Re: Superstar chair
From K's perspective, seems to me Superstar is the obvious choice by process of elimination. They probably don't want to replace the Ramshead or Snowshed lifts because the village construction. As discussed in other threads, I really don't see them investing much in the Skyship because the ROI is n...

Re: Mountain Green Sales?
>1000$ seems likely. It was at >500$ fifteen years ago. That was pre-Act 250. So a 1,500sf unit at $1,000/sf will be $1,500,000. To be in the parking lot of Snowshed and pay between $20-30K a year in taxes and another $6-$12,000 in HOA fees? I just don't get it. Even at Stowe I don't get it but at ...

Re: How far apart are Ramshead and Snowshed Lodges?
I was wondering this too. If I wanted to get from the green trails at Snowshed to the greens at Ramshead, is it best to walk the tunnel connecting the two areas? I started plotting paths across other green trails and other lifts but didn’t see a way to eventually ski between Snowshed and Ramshead T...

No. They are not allowed to ski until 8am when the lifts open. Some people download on the Gondi.

Re: friday 3/15 report
I got kicked out of work to save on OT so I did a late afternoon delite from about 2:15- 4:15. Parked on rt 4, say on the report south ridge was running so I did SR link> bear trax> roundabout. Excellent. Then over to the canyon by way of escapade. Then back over to breakaway and all the way around...

Re: friday 3/1 report
All the bumps mowed before the freeze filled in the troughs so the trails can make it through longer with the warm weather? most bumps were very hard/icey heading into pres week, so everything systematically got groomed. they wanted to make the mtn more skiable for the holiday week skiers. stating ...

Re: Base Camp At Bear can Start Phase 1
It’s interesting to see folks slowly come to the realization that the parking situation after all this development really will suck. I’m sure someone will pipe in and remind us all that the plans all replace existing parking so it won’t ba a problem. But, call me crazy, I find Killington’s existing ...
