Re: Four still standing...

There was a very big crowd there all day w LONG lines at the chair early on. Ski'd K last sunday, bush monday, jay frid...

Wow , so technical. ; } If the hood flaps duct tape it to the back. If you're cold add a layer. Most would say , " Cotton kills " but I say only if it's wet. Duct tape any holes or spaces where water or air can enter. Have I been in the MRV too long? ; }

From Ski Magazine: 10. Wildcat 9. Stowe 8. Killington 7. Saddleback 6. Smuggs 5. Whiteface 4. Cannon 3. Sugarloaf 2. Jay 1. MRG The head scratcher for me is Cannon. It's got some tough trails, but no way I'd put it ahead of some of the others, including Killington. And Sugarbush belongs somewhere o...

When I'm not in Vermont Ragged is an hour away from my home in NH so makes a good choice for a midweek powder day. Last year was not too good for that. Speaking of snow... ; } ... anyone around on Thursday? I may have to pay yooz a visit. ; }

Re: What ski area would you chose first to be a local at?
Sugarbush is only 60 minutes my door to South side on a good day. Like many Killington skiers I hit the Bush several times a year. Love the Mad River Valley and may have to move a little North someday. Never been to Fernie but have added it to the must ski list. Seems we have a few things in common...

Re: mad river frustrated
I have yet to ski @ 'da River this season but I'm @ 'da Bush 3-4 days a week and I can tell you our base on the natural , non-snowmaking trails is solid! It may be ice underneath but it equates to an inch or two of snow skiing like more than that. It is a funny phenomenon and has taken some "ge...
