In my heydays at Killington, 1995 till Powder---we had good times getting away from the crowds (when there were any-midweek) by running the whole length of the Juggernaut. Sure sometimes it was slow. But it did help pass an afternoon. Where does a skiing get a ten mile trail run now?

Saw DSO at the Peach Festival in Scranton PA and they tore up a set heavy on Pigpen. It was absolutely wonderful. Best set of the fest except for the WSP and Mule sets.

Saw the Knot Dead play the Cornell show at the Hollow in Albany last night. Well Done. It amazes me that 120 or so people would go out on a Monday night to see a cover band do that. Found out that the PEF union has 'good any day' tickets for a price I'm willing to pay for powder days. And I only need a days notice to get one.

How do I plan for powder days--sometimes you don't know till the day of, and without a season pass or modern technology--how's a guy to save dollars?
