Re: Social Security's running out of time

As for the dollar, we're back to where we were 20 - 30 years ago vs. the Pound and the weaker dollar helps our domestic industries by making imports more expensive and helps our exports as well. The weaker dollar helps with tourism as people flock to this country because it's less expensive to come...

It has been quite a year. Convinced my nonskiing wife to give it a try with a resounding success. Got my 4 year old on skis - he seems to be a natural. The downside? A season used to cost me about $1500 all told has cost over 4 grand. Many are one time costs (lessons), and soon we will buy gear for ...

I would bet a very large amount of money that if they take the shot it will be over the Pacific....

....since that is where the Lake Erie and her escort group is.

Yes - the ASAT shot is what I am referring to. The term "ASAT" (anti satellite) was officially banned from use while I was on that effort. Some of my former coworkers bugged out for Kauai or Maui a few days ago. It will be interesting to sit down with them and have a beer when they get bac...

I wish I were still in the missile defense biz

Exciting times are afoot. Oh well - we are going to see if my code is as good as I think it is in the coming days.

Man I wish I were going to be in Hawaii for this!

Someone(s) pocketed all that "lost" money. Money is like energy - it changes forms (hands) but never disappears.

The air still reeks of Brady and Co shitting the bed.

Damn.

I heard Giselle is dumping Tom and has been overheard pronouncing "Eli" with a funny accent.

I am all about the Giants this years, but let's face it: the Patriots will beat them. The Pat's success is based soley on the power of their offensive line. So be it. Brady will have all day to throw perfect passes, and that will be that. Should the Giants decide to attack their line, they have a sl...

Drive up, when you get there drop the rim at a Sears or NTB or some such. Pick up before you leave for home (check their hours first). I don't think you will find one of these places in Lulow, Vt! I am sure one would pass one on the way (and it could even be a mom and pop gas station w/ garage). Co...

Swapped the donut in my Jeep for a full size spare 1 hour after leaving the lot (would have done it there but they wanted $155 for a rim that I got at Pep Boys for $20). Add a cheapo Futura all season tire on sale at $40, $5 to mount/balance and wala: one driveable fullsize spare for under $70. Not ...
