Re: Rickety old defunct lifts.
C&S lattice chairs take the cake for me and I think the only full original C&S lattice chair left in the Northeast is Outpost? Followed closely by the other erector set Mueller and Stadeli lifts of which there are a few more left around. A quick look at Lift Blog confirms that Outpost is in...

Re: Rickety old defunct lifts.
- Original Castlerock
- MRG Single prior to the rebuild
- Big Spruce
Those were all old but not held together by duct tape.
Top choice in terms of rickety and held together by tape and bubble gum?
- Bousquet's original Yellow Chair
- Honorable mention also to Magic's Black Triple

Re: Tree work
THREAD BUMP! Been 20 years since we cut the woods back around our place and they're creeping back in. Time to get on the schedule for the summer work. Anyone know if Gary's still in business and these phone numbers are still accurate? Also open to anyone else's recommendations for tree folks. Thank...

Re: New lift planned
Yes, this is a must. Something like the Cabriolet at Canyons. It's not cheap to run a shuttle bus system. That lift would pay for itself in short order. Otherwise the parking lots will be a cluster.

IMG_6406.jpeg^^ they were mild. scored third chair, braced for the mass influx...that never came. it was mostly ski-on all day. their page for the event recommended car pooling and prohibited overnite parking. i'm guessing they may have sold less tix than a normal day? i noticed friday that there w...

Re: IKON not wait for you to go home
What makes you say this? It would surprise me if Alterra made another big acquisition after just purchasing A-Basin and all the capital improvements they are doing. I also think it would be weird for Powdr to sell K before completing the village, which has just started and could enhance the value o...

Re: Is Killington for sale?
It will be a full buyout of all ski areas under Powdr. Except for Woodward that will stay. Alterra will buy them out, Powder will keep the stand alone Woodward locations as well as the summer ones and their other companies not associated with skiing. With in a year this will happen. Alterra has mor...

Re: mike on the snowmaking plan
 1. The Superstar chair has been discussed as our next replacement but it is not happening this spring – therefore – has no impact on snowmaking. If superstar is the next chair to be replaced and it is not this year, does that mean there are no new chairs this year? Or, is superstar replacemen...

Re: Is Killington for sale?
killington's one of powdr's cash cows. would doubt they'd sell it especially w the long awaited village apparently becoming a reality unless they have some debt payments due and desperately need the money. Been saying this for a long time. I know it's a capital-intensive business, but with the traf...

But people are going to pay 1,000,000 plus for those new townhomes and condos in the fancy village!skibikeclimbguy wrote: ↑Jan 31st, '24, 08:53 They’re broke and the place is falling apart. Other than a new lodge, which rarely has everything open, the place is in ruins.
