FWIW this mornings forecast from NOAA at elevation holds off precip until tonight for the most part and features 6-10 inches of snow at 34 degrees.

We may win, we may lose. It's Anyones guess.

Re: Trees....

13 and 17 and skiing since they were young?... Let them rip anything. If they've been skiing more than 5 times a season there should be nothing at K that they can't handle. That said, at Killington, step up into Patsys using the main signed entrance. In my opinion, that's the next step up. Also over...

Re: yet another rescue

Oi.

Sympathy for these people is long gone. Time to start charging them the big money and set some examples.

Yeah, definitely not a good sign. Don't bother setting the alarms for the am.

Re: ANOTHER WINTER STORM WATCH 4-8" SAT NIGHT!

Track shifted further North. We are in the zone with warmer air aloft. Sleet and freezing r*in will hold our totals down and sh*t up lifts.

Hopefully they are wrong...

Must have followed the tracks into the light not knowing where he was going.

Only problem I have with this is that it jeopardizes sidecountry access to those of is who aren't dumb about it.

Re: Wednesday 02/02/2011

Given the hype and expectations, it was VERY mediocre for a pow-day.

Re: Wednesday 02/02/2011

Meh. New snow is good, but we got skunked a fair amount. Thicker windblown and not much of it to be realistic. Mediocre at best. Have had WAY better days with FAR less storm hype. I'll be at Pico tomorrow but the place is going to be a zoo, and super windbuffed. Expectations are low. Groomers should...

Noel's Mendon Closing

Per their Facebook.

Bummed. Always had excellent food when we went there. Good place to go during the summer as it was one of the few places with decent outdoor dining in the Rutland area.

Opinions on RFID?

Skiing Jay the other day made me think about RFID and when we will see it at Killington. My experience with it was on a very dead midweek day, and the system was extremely convenient and worked flawlessly. I'm sure the scanners are a pretty big investment, but the system has some very distinct benef...

Re: Thirsty Thursday at Pico

Skied Pico myself this afternoon. Started out with a highspeed run down Expressway to get the legs warmed up then hit up Pipeline under the Outpost double a bunch of times. Skied VERY nicely. Headed over to the Summit Quad and nailed a few Upper Pike laps. It was a little icy at the top but really g...
