That upper mountain limited skiing at Sunday River was top to Bottom from sat aftenoon and Sunday. T2 was really in very good shape. The Beast got Beasted. I am sure K will have more open when they open. I skied while they made BS excuses. If SR can get top to bottm K could have. I supsect Sr will l...

I thought K had an ad agency that choses whom to place adds with via the internet media. I don't think K places them with AZ directly. Maybe others know more about it than me. From what I recall I don't remember K giving AZ tickets in exchange for exposure. I was a mod there. I think Tom get his mes...

Less did on thing really well at Sr. Look at how close the hydrants are together. The areas that open early Lock Mtn, barker... these areas the hydrants are much closer together. Capacity overall is an issue to debate, but when you need snow in marginal conditions in a concentrated area..... Copied ...

Re: Let the snowmaking war begin!
I would expect Sr to start around the same time. This is good for both resorts and its customers. Competition. I would think SR will open the 29th late in the Day or around the same time on Friday the 30th. If temps are low enough they will make snow. Looks like K is taking the same plan. As long as...

AT Sunday River the mountain does pay a large portion of the fee, but the local business put in money, as well as the some of the Condo complexes. Funding was an issue last year, but it was worked out. Chamber of commerce runs it. Just before Thanksgiving till 1st weekend in April. rougly 7 am till ...

My taxes in Newry for a one bedroom slopeside are under $1000 per year. Very reasoanble... My off mountain place in campton Nh is little over $1000 per year. My nh place is twice has twice the area. Seems like that is low.

I am an every weekend Sr person. Family programs are reasonable. Night life is getting better. The mountain itself has bars open at night in the winter now. Kids love that they have apres ski stuff designed for them. Management is very active with its customers, They support and are active with the ...

More user and sin taxes, no income tax is my guess in NH.
I have only been a part timer in Maine for a few years. I'll just sit and see what happens. I can't vote in Maine anyway.

07 Sr was able to run a light cat before opening day on T2. 08 at the River was ungroomed on opening day. That was actually Oct 30th. The River opened around 2 pm on the 30th last Oct. No doubt it was to make sure it was opened 1st. Word started to get out around noon on the 30th of a late day openi...

In Norway you are about 35 min from bethel. They do a nice fireworks display there. If you feel like getting a Sr tour let me know. Be nice to return some nice favors you guys have done. Probably 20 Sr regulars and AZ cross posters will be at the fire works. http://www.bethelmaine.com/index.php?mact...
