Re: Back Behind Saloon For Sale
Tough to make money at the back behind since they shut down sunrise. Tough to make money when you piss off a lot of customers too. I hadn’t been there in over 20 years due to poor service and even worse attitude. :D Exactly! On the positive side, it has saved me a lot of money as I live right down ...

Re: Back Behind Saloon For Sale
Anyone heard anything new on the BBS? The listing seems to have been removed so it may have been sold. I can't imagine that the Owners would just let it sit and rot. I heard a several months ago that it was sold to some sort of "neighbor" of the owners. My friend, that had it under contra...

Re: friday 5/17 report
Got out at the end of the day to see how the ribs felt. One and done for me. Ribs didn't hurt but I found myself not enjoying how I had to ski to avoid hurting them !
Yes, it clouded up late in the day and the predominant surface was the WC ice. Still, wish I could have stayed out on it longer.

Sweet - Had been going out there [Summit County area] in the spring for many years, until Covid hit. Gonna try to get back out there next year. WP / Mary Jane is right up there among our favorites with A-Basin right up there as well. Your descriptions of them are spot on. Like you, Trestle is probab...

Re: State of Superstar May 11, 2024
https://youtu.be/cclJxEL4DBs Can anyone identify the 5 guitarists and vocalist for the credits? I believe Captain Hafski knows them? As for the vocalist, you are probably talking about Liz Reedy - I'll assume you weren't asking about the Paul Padfield "color commentary" throughout the son...

If the decision was based on money, I think it was more the July flood damage, vs an "off" Christmas week.Southside_Bobby wrote: ↑May 6th, '24, 11:33 Still processing the notion that a major ski resort would base the timing of overdue infrastructure investment on whether or not they had a bad Christmas week.

As for the alignment, I see no need to change it, other than moving the top terminal higher, and moving it back a little to make the unload bigger. They shouldn't be cutting more trees if they are required to give back acreage to do it. They had no choice with South Ridge, but it isn't necessary fo...

Evening Report: ROTD LUAU # 42 !
Other than that, nursing some cracked / bruised ribs from a fall I took at home setting up for the party. Hoping I can get back out on the hill [skiing, not just tailgating!] next weekend.

Afternoon Report: Pretty much as SA posted though the groomed areas were sloppy later in the day. Good bit of sun until last two runs when dark clouds came in. Old Sol came back out for shits and giggles just after the closing bell. ROTD: Supe TTB. Just plain good. Enjoyed Upper Bittersweet. Not gro...
