Interesting. Doesn't exactly ooze Vermont quaint. More like glass egg carton meets MC Escher.

Re: lift & trail reports

Really ? Yet another thread for the same F'n topic. . . The snow report sucks. The lifts and trails part of that sucks. The app sucks.

What else?

Great map - never saw this one.
Yes ! The original "Village" proposal right at the Wobbly !! Now that makes sense!

Here is a rendering of some pre-"Parkers Gore" (c.1968) proposals for that side of the mountain . . .

Re: Chute merge with Great Eastern

Open the road from Great Northern to the junction of Chute-under-the-lift, lower-Chute, and Mouse Trap. They could easily fill a bit of the dip in the road, if that is even needed, and easily change the whole nature of the area. That should have never been closed and taken completely off the board....

Re: Sunday 2 11 24

Sunday was less than good. Call it disappointing. Brought some family. For their first time at K. 1 needed rentals. Had them set up for pick up at snow shed. Pulled in to park at 7. Some overly empowerd fat bastard got out of his car and asked what I was doing. No signage for the valet area was out...

Re: Expansion

I cant’t believe the morons at Killington ordered up consecutive 50 degree days (glorious though they were). And positioning the sun for a direct hit on South Ridge; so dumb. If everyone on KZone will rise up and let them know to make it cold and start making snow again, I bet we can make it happen...

Re: fast track pricing

I see Fast Track, at least at Killington, as a bit of a sucker's product. It's not often even on a Saturday that we can't find somewhere on the mountain with a minimal line. Add to that, the Fast Track only allows you to skip part of the line - it's not like ski school where they skip right to the ...

Re: tuesday 2/6 report

. . . and oh yeah, the south ridge was running!!!!! Is there any rhyme or reason for when the South Ridge lift is running during the week? I've spent maybe 20 weekdays at Killington over the last 5 years, and have never figured it out. Mostly, it isn't running. One time, on a Friday, it was running...

Re: Access to PUBLIC LAND is now a violation?!

there's an unmarked and frankly unappealing skinny 'trail' that's off the skiers left side of great northern above the flats but below ridge run that connects to the top of snowdon that mainly some teleskiers in the know use as a shortcut to get from k1 to the top of snowdon without using a lift. i...
