Re: Parking Violation Stickers

So there’s temporary parking, and there’s handicap parking, there’s Subaru parking, and there’s parking for the rest of us. Clearly there needs to be a fifth category: parking for people with a really good excuse. It could be managed by a three judge panel in robes and wigs that decide if you’re wo...

Re: Parking Violation Stickers

The overwhelming crowds and seas of people bursting through the parking lot on the powder filled day... Oh wait, it's r*ining on a midweek dumpster fire of a ski day and you had to park in the wrong place when you could've parked within what 3 bays of any lodge that was open to walk in your presumab...

Re: Tuesday, Dec 19–After the Deluge

They didn't really get temperatures until this morning and of course temps will be getting colder throughout the day.

Not surprised we will hear more reports of guns in more places.

Re: Stop saying "Howdy Beast Fans" in the report.

I think the thing that is frustrating about the report is that there's lots of operational information as to what is open and closed for facilities but not a lot of information about the SNOW.

What is getting snowmaking? Where are they headed next? Etc.

Quick Request For Killington Re: Webcams

I am sure on the list of priorities setting up the webcams is understandably not very high. But for those of us that don't live at Killington it sure is a nice way to know what is going on and to think about buying passes / tickets. :D With that in mind... 1) Can you pan the Peak camera down? It got...

Re: Opening Day?

I think we all assume they are using Phazors since that is what they have used in the past but perhaps they are impulse guns like they use at the bottom of Superstar.

Much more output.

Re: Off-season maintenance/improvements

A lot of this can be answered by looking at the plans for the village and publicly filed documents. The heart of the water plant is located at Snowshed. The piping from there to the what appears to be the area north of skye / bitter the Killington, Snowden, and Rams Head all appears to be part of th...

Re: Of course it's IKON

I don't think people are hearing and reading the level of information that is being put out by the resort and their real estate partners which are changing to an entirely new company in April. Now, time will tell if what they're discussing will come to fruition. But the new people charged with devel...

Re: Snowmaking - It's Not The Same

This year is unfortunately not off to a good start, Oh you think so doctor? Temps averaging in the 50's and 60's the first two weeks of the month? Tough to make snow when it is above freezing. Granted this is Rutland but look at the freeze and thaw events for last year: December '21: https://www.wu...

Re: Killington going cashless

Most people 45 and under don’t carry cash except for emergencies and the number that do decreases as age decreases.

I hate having a big wallet skiing. ID, CC, Insurance, and pass. Done.

Cash management with seasonal employees and so many base areas is a pain for big resorts.
