Re: Dream Team vs 2012 Olympic Team
2 observations which were made on TV. 1st, Jordan and company rarely would turn the ball over which the current team did at very bad times. 2nd, the Dream Team played national teams with few or no NBA players. The current team played many NBA starters making their task a bit harder. The 2012 team p...

Dream Team vs 2012 Olympic Team
Now that the 2012 team has won their gold after being contested and some narrow victories; the Dream Team wins easily. The 2012 team won the gold because of their defensive pressure, however, other teams were able to expose their lack of size inside the paint. The Dream Team would have been able to ...

Re: Guess the ski area 2012
What is that right behind the skier, it looks like a frozen snow bank or maybe even something like a crevass?
Has anyone said the Sugarloaf USA snow fields?

Re: Vermont vs New Hampshire, live-play-work, better state?
With NH having less and lower Taxes, the Atlantic Ocean and some decent skiing mtns. I would have to say N.H. get's my vote. As a matter of fact I leave tomorrow for 12 day's with the Mrs. over on the N.H. Seacoast. Hey Atomic1, if you want a nice, uncrowded beach to go to on the NH coast, go just ...

Re: Vermont vs New Hampshire, live-play-work, better state?
least violent crime. No it doesn't. The top 3 gun ownership states are Wyoming, Alaska, and Montana. For least violent crime, it is Maine is #1, North Dakota is #2, Vermont is #3, New Hampshire #4, South Dakota #5. The attributes of those states are that they are rural and lilly white. So are you s...

Also of importance are its new lifts:

Vermont vs New Hampshire, live-play-work, better state?
Here goes, this could be an endless debate, I live in NH and know more about NH than VT, but: Skiing, NH has gems like Cannon, Wildcat and nothing in VT compares to Tuckerman's Ravine. VT has resorts like K, Sugarbush and Stowe, but gems like Mad River, Smuggs and Jay. Vermont wins 3-2. Hiking, NH h...

Re: Favorite swimming hole in New Hampshire
Here's a very popular swimming hole called Lower Falls on the Swift River, just off the Kancamangus Highway, about 4 miles west of Route 16. As the pictures show, it gets crowded, but there are a lot of other swimming holes just off the highway in the same general area.

Favorite swimming hole in New Hampshire
I like the favorite swimming hole near K thread, so I want to do one for New Hampshire too. One of my favorites is Franconia Falls, a flat 3 mile hike on an old railroad bed. Trailhead is located at Lincoln Woods, a couple of miles up the Kancamangus Highway from Loon Mountain. It's an incredible na...
