Uh-oh.
There's a decent reserve just above Launchpad where they filled in, but that will go just only so far. It's a lot of melty hours until Friday. Monday looks like an eternity.

Re: Rickety old defunct lifts.
I think Big Bob is correct on the rebar pulling out from the ledge due to faulty epoxy/grout. I seem to remember that when the haul rope slid off the bull wheel it took out the next tower as well. You can see the uprooted rebar here: . https://freeskier.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/SunRiv-Lift8-Me...

Re: world cup returns in 2024
There's quite a bit of snowmaking pipe just below Superstar, and a fair bit of digging. Some new drainage pipes as well. Anyone know if it's replacement, or is there any capacity increase??

Re: Rickety old defunct lifts.
C&S lattice chairs take the cake for me and I think the only full original C&S lattice chair left in the Northeast is Outpost? Followed closely by the other erector set Mueller and Stadeli lifts of which there are a few more left around. Another lattice chair still standing is the 1964 Muel...

Re: Political Humor
Actually, that's exactly what I was doing. Many people reacted to the method of euthanasia rather than the behavior of the dog. Had nothing to do with the person involved as far as my comment went. For context, see the cartoon above my comment. But feel free to continue falsely attributing positions...

I don't believe she did it at all. I think it was a political calculation to lie and make herself look tough and it has backfired. Just like she lied about meeting Kim Jong Un and had to have her book revised. Moose likes and defends female liars though, so no surprise he's in her defending Kristi....

Friday 5 3 24 report
20240503_151902.jpg Middle O has a middle problem. The rest is pretty solid. Walkout required, a little muddy as you exit. Nivi's has a narrow ribbon section just before Upper O. Skylark lower is marginal. Not sure I'd do it tomorrow unless they work a little magic. Upper pretty good. Supe is Supe....

Did the (sunnier) afternoon shift Bittersweet Meh - bleh. Upper has pack ice with bare spots on upper. Doubtful it will make the weekend, or if it does, with major farming. Lower Bitter still fine. Skylark nice cover, even lower skis fine with just one 'brownish' spot. GS spaced bumpettes on lower t...

Re: Superstar chair
If Snowdon can support a 6 pack, then Superstar can too. The trails are much wider. The unloading area only feels small because it's uphill to get anywhere. If the top terminal is built higher, then it will be much better. At the bottom, it should have a side load and rotate the opposite direction ...

Downdraft firmish... yes, but not in the usual concrete meaning. These were big, spined, and very edgable. Welded corn.
