Re: Can the Republican Party Be Saved?
Expand upon what you mean Bubba. Jews live in perfect harmony with anyone no matter what their backgrounds and beliefs are? I think back to my first serious girlfriend. She was Jewish. It was a year being made felt uncomfortable because the family didn't tolerate her dating a goy. They wouldn't eve...

Re: Can the Republican Party Be Saved?
While there are many positive messages about empathy, kindness and working together with your fellow man in all religions, my problem with almost all of them is that they utilize either the reward of heaven or the threat of hell to motivate people to comply. You should not need those motivations to...
Re: Tree work
THREAD BUMP! Been 20 years since we cut the woods back around our place and they're creeping back in. Time to get on the schedule for the summer work. Anyone know if Gary's still in business and these phone numbers are still accurate? Also open to anyone else's recommendations for tree folks. Thank...

Re: Can the Republican Party Be Saved?
Islam needs a "Reformation" just as the Christianity went through several hundred years ago. With Islam being about 500 years younger than Christianity, however, I just hope we don't have to wait another couple of hundred years for an Islamic reformation to take place.

Put in a four way stop sign at West Hill and Killington Road and sell tickets to watch the entertainment.

Re: Can the Democrat Party be saved?
I think there's a good chance gas prices start going up again. If China's economy turns around, and demand starts going up, that's probably what will happen. If it does, it could mean bad things for Biden. In case you haven't noticed gas prices go up every spring and then start to tail off sometime...

Re: Can the Republican Party Be Saved?
oh, it was posted on an X account? Must be 100% reliable  Still, I don't think you're going to find too many people on this forum defending Biden. We know he sucks but we're still going to vote for him because the other guy is worse. Biden forgot the word Scranton and the other guy tried to o...

Even with the announced closing of everything but the Superstar lift they’re still selling spring passes per The Drift.

Re: New lift planned
Reminds me of when Kraft started negotiating with the CT governor to bring the Patriots to CT. Fancy big stadiums were designed on cocktail napkins, financing was offered, news stations carried speculation. It reached a hot pitch. Boom, MA agreed to build a new stadium. I’m not particularly a fan o...

Re: New lift planned
I don't really anticipate them switching. All of their detachables and most of their fixed grips are Poma. If they were to switch to Doppelmayr, then the entire lift maintenance staff would have to completely relearn how to do their jobs. And then they'd need to work with two manufacturers to keep ...

Re: Richard Nixon
Nixon, like Reagan, couldn't get elected in today's Republican Party. Nixon was, by today's standards, a moderate to liberal Republican who, along with Kissinger, focused more on foreign policy than domestic. His opening to China to blunt Russian influence would be pilloried today by the GOP. (He to...

Re: New lift planned
This drawing also shows the bridge being removed from The Grand, greatly increasing the walk. It doesn't show a relocated Ramshead lift. There is no accent on the value of slopeside condos, it's slopeside promenade. Strikes me as designed by someone at a desk, not someone who wants a ski village. Y...
