Re: State of Superstar May 11, 2024
Interesting so what was it 1997 that was super deep into June? Yes. June 22 1997. First full day of summer, which is the latest they have ever spun a lift for skiing/riding. And yes, there's plenty of people who have claimed they skied here in July and August, but that simply never happened. Just n...

Re: Killington Road Detour: 4/15 - 7/8
With that said, be careful on the way down the mountain. After you take the right hand 'bend' onto West Hill Road, watch out for herbs coming in at you from the light. Already happened to me once. I'll be one of those herbs coming in from the right avoiding the new moguls that they installed on the...

Re: Spring Shrinkage Schedule ?
The runout has plenty of snow, so you'd still be able to ski the trails, but I agree it is way better with the chair running. The Canyon trails are one and dones for me if the chair isn't running. I don't mind riding the K1, but I also strongly dislike lapping it, if that makes any sense. You have ...

Re: Midweek on the South Ridge
Pretty sure the slog is less with the New K1. Slog from top of South Ridge to Great Northern is no picnic for those that skip the wish to skip the canyon.

Re: Access to PUBLIC LAND is now a violation?!
It does appear that this was a "fire people, pull passes, and ask questions later" situation. however much folks wanna put "blame" on the mtn, they really had no choice but but to fire the instructor. whether or not she was "led" out of bounds by a bunch of five year o...

Re: Ski width and late-in-day killington “sand piles”
96 Volkl M6 and 102 Volkl Mantra are my two daily drivers. Today was day one for my new 108 Volkl Katanas after they sat by the front door for the past three months. Some of the best snow of the season today. Ok be honest GIS - which do you prefer - the volks at 96 underfoot, or the mantras at 102?...

Re: 2024 demo day ?
Feb 2-4 during the Subaru Fest was the last one at Killington. Getting late in the season for demos. Potter Brothers in the Snowshed Lodge charges $75 per day for unlimited demos and they have a large ski selection. If you have a regular Killington ski shop that you buy your skis from they may let y...
