Re: Is the crossover open?
Any update from this week? The report still shows Highlander open. Skied panic/needles last run at 2p today. The hard left on the crossover is slow, but still continuous. when we tried to ski it around 3pm, needles was roped at bittersweet. not sure why. panic/needles itself and the crossover had p...

Re: Friday 4 26 24
today had to be a dream. the sunshine meter was pinned. bluebirds were up there making a racket. bell-to-bell followed by some tailgating at the "coyden". pretty good crowd on hand. at the bell - firm, fast & furious as things did freeze up overnight. ran A,B and C which all went throu...

Re: tuesday 4/23 report
I think they could spare a couple guns over the 4,000 hours they make snow on SS throughout the season to get the Ovation to SS cutover deeper for spring. Every year it's the same situation and every year it's not addressed. and from tonight's report: and they’re also putting a fresh groom on Middl...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
As a "former" midweek passer of many years (Spring pass this year), I certainly would not be a happy camper about no Friday. Of course, they could also just allow midweekers next weekend, but they probably won't. They have gotten a little greedier recently in this regard. There were occas...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
fwiw in a post on killington locals someone asked if there was any chance the K1 would run the may 4-5 weekend and the answer was "Highly unlikely, but stranger things have happened." and to another question asking NR too for this weekend? they responded "At this point, we are plannin...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread

tuesday 4/23 report
just a blockbuster day on the hill. couldn't paint a bluer sky. warmed up quickly. pretty decent turnout. 9-2:45 shift. another of those 'couldn't find a bad turn' days. at the bell everything groomed skied well as it softened quickly. unlike yesterday where it stayed firm for the morning, today thi...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
Wish they would've just announced this beforehand. Now everyone was pissed off for nothing. If they were going to pick one lift to run, then K1 serves the most terrain. Not that I'm counting on it, but they have added extra lifts at the last minute in the past. For example, in 2022, it was supposed...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
obviously great news that many of us suspected was in the works. there's certainly enough snow and this past weekend showed there was the demand. the fact that jay & da loaf are running multiple lifts this weekend didn't hurt. it's win-win for the mtn as it shows they're not totally deaf. the us...

Re: monday 4/22 report
actually thought the rotd was that short dropoff just before the supe lift. yeah it was only 3 turns of creamy delight but sweet .
agree launch pad cutting across below HW was a bit dangerous for both skiers attempting to get across and those coming down.

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
they had a really good crowd this past weekend. obviously there were some events that brought folks out in not so good weather. forecast looking great for fri & sat. sun variable. so do think if they feel there'll be fannies in the seats, they'll run at least one lift - most likely K1. some were...

monday 4/22 report
welcome to day one of superstar season (hopefully not). the sun found her way back to the mtn after abandoning us for a couple days. much colder than we've seen in quite a while. definitely didn't feel like spring. mtn did a good job grooming. certainly the open terrain was very firm flat & fast...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
first of all, they've left the door open but the chickens haven't come home yet.
as i've said, think weather and advanced bookings are gonna be the determining factors. the sooner they announce (if indeed they decide to go ahead and run additional lifts), the better they can market it. we'll see ...
