Re: K Backcountry Poll
Bring a map, a compass, some means of going up hill, and whatever else you would normally bring on a hike . Head about 300 degree bearing from coopers. When you see something at a bearing 30 degrees or so (your right) worth riding on go for it. When you hit Bucklin trail make a left to got to your c...

Re: Black Fly Season
Any chance Black fly season will end early like the ski season did? I'm contemplating slackpacking 45 miles from vt 30 to the access road over the Memorial Day weekend.

Re: Number of Competition Events
Yesterday they gave us back lower Bearclaw and lower Skyeburst for 6 weekend days, and now they give us 10 more weekend days on more interesting trails. Nice to see them looking out for their core customers.       http://i26.photobucket.com/al...

Re: NSR: Digital Antenna?
http://www.antennaweb.org is a great resource. Though unless you're going to put up a big outdoor antenna you're probably SOL in Killington. I tried two different indoor antennas 25 miles out of NYC with no luck.

The Kent Brook trail (yellow blazes) at Gifford State Park is 1.1 miles with minimal elevation gain.

Re: Freestyle Frenzy and Pond Skimming
Love how they say the events are postponed until 2012-2013. I believe the term is cancelled, unless they are going to have two pond skimming events next season. Or maybe they will have the 2011-2012 event in 2012-2013 and postpone the 2012-2013 event until 2013-2014 and so on. That's it. When the B...

Re: The freakin' robins are out already
Last Wednesday evening there were 3 mosquitoes flying around me as I booted up in the parking lot of Mountain Creek. They're usually not out down here until the end of April.Mister Moose wrote:Black fly on lower Superstar yesterday.

Re: Attn: Killington Employees
(.5 hr)/8 hr = .0625 = 6.25% for every reduced hour work day. If the work day is less than 8 hours, the percentage lost is even greater. The question mark was me being nice. I knew how you got 6.25%. It's misleading at best, but when you added it to 12.5% to get "almost 20%" it is just ou...
