Re: Timing of Killington Forward
You know that's the old plan that they aren't building, right? Village layout is completely different in the new renderings.

Re: tuesday 4/30 report
Think there's any chance of them pushing snow onto the cut back to Superstar from Middle O? For Skye Hawk, I was cutting through the woods on Sunday.

Re: Superstar chair
They haven't filed for permits yet, so I find it hard to believe that anything was ever planned for 2024. I'm sure they are taking bids from both companies, but I would still lean towards it being LP, unless they really want Doppelmayr's D-Line system, which LP has no answer to.

Re: Superstar chair
That's also an option, especially since Skyeship has a shorter season. It isn't cheap either, but may be less expensive than completely new cabins. Stowe went that route with their cabins. The drawback is that it means they still have two different types of cabins. Also, the door mechanisms on the K...

Re: Superstar chair
Zero chance Superstar finds a buyer. When it's replaced, it's getting scrapped, just like the old Barker lift at Sunday River. Not surprised it needs constant attention from lift maintenance. It needed to be replaced years ago, but Powdr/Killington has a long history of keeping lifts long past the e...

Re: Superstar chair
The Yan to Poma conversions have lasted far longer than I think anyone thought they would, but at this point they've all far overstayed their welcome. They can't run as fast, have frequent breakdowns, and use a lot of parts that aren't on any other lifts. There's zero chance the towers get reused. I...

Re: Superstar chair
If Snowdon can support a 6 pack, then Superstar can too. The trails are much wider. The unloading area only feels small because it's uphill to get anywhere. If the top terminal is built higher, then it will be much better. At the bottom, it should have a side load and rotate the opposite direction t...

Re: Superstar chair
Most lifts have hydraulic brakes, rather than air brakes. Must be a Yan detachable thing. Superstar is now the only operating lift for the rest of the season, and it can't be breaking down multiple times a day.

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
3 lifts is the most common for the last weekend with more than just Superstar. If you're picking 3 lifts, and one of them has to be Superstar, then K1 and North Ridge are the combination that serves the most terrain. I'm guessing every single trail off North Ridge will be open, even the natural ones...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
People are also asking about the peace park, but I think the features have already been taken down. Missed opportunity to keep it going 2-3 more weekends, even if it was not connected to other terrain. It got pretty crowded on Sunday, despite subpar weather. All the park rats across the Northeast wh...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
Wish they would've just announced this beforehand. Now everyone was pissed off for nothing. If they were going to pick one lift to run, then K1 serves the most terrain. Not that I'm counting on it, but they have added extra lifts at the last minute in the past. For example, in 2022, it was supposed ...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
Not that it will actually happen, but everything that was open this weekend. There's plenty of snow, and they had good turnout this weekend. If the weather is better next weekend, then even more people will probably show up. I would've done K1 and Snowdon midweek, and Friday-Sunday for North Ridge a...
