Re: Can the Democrat Party be saved?
Outside agitators heavy handed police tactics against demonstrators... where have I seen this before? BTW this should be on my Mid east thread and not here as it's not a Dem or reprobate issue.

Re: Superstar chair
6 packs really are the industry standard for main chairs now. Anything that is in the spotlight is going to go 6 pack at a major resort. That is the problem. Our beloved sport is now dominated by a few big corporations just like everything else. We used to have anti - trust laws to prevent this sor...

Middle East situation
It amazes me that no one else has started this thread. To me the problem and solution are simple: Eliminate religion and you eliminate the problem. I believe all of the Hamas leadership and Netanyahu must be destroyed before there can be peace in the region.

Re: Superstar chair
Just curious... How do other Yan / Poma conversions hold up after 20 years+ of use? I'd like to hear from someone who knows something about this, not trolls like Downdraft and Bay Five. What about the 2 at Pico?

Re: Can the Republican Party Be Saved?
I think there are pieces of truth to be found in religion, but I see it more like philosophy than anything else. The notions of do unto others as you would have them do unto you, love your neighbor, nonviolence and respect for all living things, etc. I think are ideas that have merit. I think all t...

DHS you make a lot of sense on this topic. I'll go a little further...I believe it's all BS like the tooth fairy or Santa Claus. The Christian right is the biggest threat to America in our time.

Re: Moguls Pub
Around here (Bergen County) the trend is to replace good pubs with crappy SW / Mexican joints. Let's hope that trend doesn't spread northward.

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
obviously great news that many of us suspected was in the works. there's certainly enough snow and this past weekend showed there was the demand. the fact that jay & da loaf are running multiple lifts this weekend didn't hurt. it's win-win for the mtn as it shows they're not totally deaf. the u...

Re: Can the Democrat Party be saved?
I think there's a good chance gas prices start going up again. If China's economy turns around, and demand starts going up, that's probably what will happen. If it does, it could mean bad things for Biden. In case you haven't noticed gas prices go up every spring and then start to tail off sometime...

So another juror has withdrawn after being threatened by Drumpf and his cult of MAGA thugs. Why aren't they now prosecuting him for jury tampering?

Re: Closing Schedule for Killington
speaking of the '6weeks early' past, i remember hiking SS on may1 2010 because the early powdr regime closed everything the previous week. we hiked up sky/bitter to wall-to-wall coverage on supe. to add insult to injury, we were harassed after we skiied by k security, who told us we were tresspassi...
