Re: sunday 2/10/2019 report
Definitely don't want to quit skiing out east, though if I could find a job out west... I probably would pick up and move. I never realized how spoiled I was skiing out west until this first time skiing back east in 22 months. I've been skiing out east for years, tore my ACL on my first day out east...

Re: sunday 2/10/2019 report
Was my first ski day back at Killington since tearing my ACL last Christmas eve. Have skied in Colorado, Utah and Whistler earlier this year, but today was my first "east coast" day back. Two runs down, one down Skyeburst and another down Bear Claw, and I was all done. West coast skiing ha...

Re: Skier killed at Whiteface
Around 11 a.m., Lukas A. Harvey, 22, of Castleton, Vt., was skiing with friends at the mountain and traversing lower Northway trail when he fell and collided with a small group of hardwood trees, troopers said. Routine, blue trail -- main route from the Gondola down. Sad. Always seems like its the ...

Changed the look to the mobile-first look -- designed to work as well as possible on a small phone as a desktop computer.
That kind of change always makes things bigger, and makes them look very -- odd -- on a desktop.
Best to launch now and get the bugs out before next season.

Okemo/Mount Sunapee/Crested Butte join Epic Pass
Announced Wednesday. 7 days to each resort with Epic Local pass... combine that with now unlimited access to Stowe on the Epic Local pass. Wow. BROOMFIELD, Colo., March 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN) announced today that Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado, Okemo Mount...

Re: The Beast Joins IKON!
There is far more price competition out west, and it's why they need to make most places unlimited there -- to compete with Vail's Epic Pass. The best thing that could happen out east is for vail to but one or two more resorts -- and force the hand of the resorts out here. It would also probably ban...

Re: Restaurants/Bars at Steamboat
The Four Points lodge on the mountain was a great place to grab a drink and enjoy the view of the valley below.
Be warned: there was a lot of melting when I was there last Thursday. Temperatures were near 70 at the base.

Re: Vail buys Stowe
It will be interesting to see if Stowe is included in the bargin Epic pass pricing structure or will there be a premium attached to include Stowe. So far, they haven't attached any sort of premiums to their passes. The Epic Local Pass ($600) has 10 days for use (except peak days) at Vail and Beaver...

Epic Local Pass $600
Max Pass $600 (early season)
$1200 = skiing at the best resorts in North America.
What's Killington's main pass -- over $1000K right?
Expect pass prices to come down sharply -- and daily ticket prices sharply rise -- or we will see resorts start to fold.

Re: Killington Lift Structure. SAD!
Seems like you all love to complain and whine about how great everyplace else is. Jeesh. I was there Saturday with my friend, who got his first Killington experience. We didn't spend more than 5-7 minutes in any lift line... INCLUDING the K1 Gondola. No, we didn't go down the singles line. The lodge...

Re: Vail_Stowe
Vail has no problem dropping $50 million + on new infrastructure if it thinks it's needed and will provide benefits in the long run. They've done it before. You all see a broken resort, but I think there's tons of opportunity for growth at Killington. I agree with others that they are probably ready...

Re: Death at the K today
Vermont State Police just put out the news release. A 26-year-old from Toms River, NJ. Was not wearing a helmet.
Awful.
What time did it happen?
I was at the K-1 lodge round 2:30 PM… And witnessed at least six people sharply falling down ovation. Things got icy late in the day

Very sad. Sounds like this happened in the storage building at the midbase?
