Re: Saturday, 11/19/16 report
Highwayidiot said that Killington would be closed by now, guess that did not happen: Re: So, how's that World Cup course prep coming? Postby Highway Star » Mon Nov 14, 2016 3:34 pm I'm not even confident they'll be open for skiing on the north ridge by this weekend. Or they'll probably be back to bo...

Re: World Cup Race: 144 hours of snowmaking
What does skiers visits have to do with early season snowmaking attempts? Seriously? well absolutely nothing when the ONLY goal is to be sure to have enough snow on the ground for a world cup event...but then 99.999% of Kzone understands that, the .001 percent is entitled to his idiotic opinion reg...

Re: World Cup Race: 144 hours of snowmaking
Does anyone on here recall when Superstar opened in 1992, because on 10/31/92, they where making snow on it TTB as well as on Snowshed. If memory serves me correct, I think it opened on 11/11/92. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y238/loafer89/October31st1992Superstar.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/a...

They predict warm weather well into the fall season, not good for the World Cup.

Re: gaysville gets on the map....
I am used to swimming/paddling the White River per Irene. IMO it's depressing looking now, kind of looks like a dredge went through the whole river. I guess it will take a long time to look natural again. All the kayaking spots have been re-arranged and the guide books are good for the fireplace.

This site might be helpful for finding local swimming holes, but I am not sure how often it's updated:

Sunday River also made snow which does not seem out of necessity since they have twice the amount of terrain open than Killington.

Mt Slow, Flatton and Slokemo got nothing on the Beast!! Except that Mt slow as you call it, made snow twice in March to provide their customers with the best possible skiing surfaces. Meanwhile the "beast" served up crushed ice. I'm a big fan of Killington, don't get me wrong, but I bough...
