Re: Stratton Mid Week
Stratton has a mostly weekend crowd, sometimes Fridays can be busy. But most weekdays its normal to be skiing by yourself.

Re: Vail Resorts
It’s really about getting people to the resorts and keeping competition low. If you have a season pass to all the resorts Vail offers for $860, you’ll probably never go anywhere else. Once you have the customer locked in, you make money off rental fees, hotel stays, restaurant spending, shopping. Va...

Re: Thoughts on a new Killington work horse lift
Interesting idea, but i think overcrowding in that area would be an major issue. Looking at topographical maps recently I'd be more interested in a lift that has the same base as the original K1 double, but runs parallel to Ovation and ends somewhere above Nivis Walk at the true peak of Skye Peak. O...

Re: Stratton Closing Day
I actually ski Stratton a lot, and the conditions were generally terrible all year. The only reason they opened this past weekend was for the music festival. This event was planned quite a while ago, and Stratton itself didn't want the event, but Intrawest corporate executives forced it upon them. I...

Re: Science Rant, Not politics: Can CO2 cause "Climate Chang
In what way, shape, or form is this a skiing discussion? I don't come to Kzone to see stupid debates that are more about flinging sh*t at each other than anything else. I come to Kzone to see when the heck Killington will open again. Sky gods! Please move this topic to the political discussion sect...

Re: Dirty Pico Trail Map
Because it's retro and adds to the old school theme. But seriously I have no clue. It's also interesting to note that previous iterations of the map have not had such markings, suggesting they're more of a mistake than anything intentional.

Re: Oregon Community College Shooting
Shouldn't this be moved to the politics section on here? It's getting kinda annoying when I want to see actual Killington related stuff on here and all I see is a bunch of 2 year olds arguing.

Killington backside potential
Do you guys think it would be feasible for Killington to develop the back of the mountain? I don't know much about it, having never skied back there, but I'm sure some of you have. I'm just curious, because as of recently, everyone has been talking about the interconnect, and potential new lifts on ...
