Re: wednesday 12/14 report

I love Killington and the snow itself was a solid B- but resort overall a generous D-. It’s December 15th and the mountain is skiing like it’s November 7th. Isolated Ramshead pod. No snowshed. K1 might as well not even be open (the lodge, thankful for the lift). I’m struggling to figure out who kil...

Re: wednesday 12/14 report

They made snow there when it was too warm to make it anywhere else and yes, to connect SS to K Peak when you couldn't get across the bottom on skis. Now they are already halfway to being able to connect K Peak with the backside of Skye when they're ready and to South Ridge when that's ready too via...

Can’t book lodging

Has anyone else noticed that they took the option to book lodging off of the main page? I cannot find a location to book just lodging. Generally I check the prices online then call to get the pass discount. Going through ski and stay packages didn’t seem to work as a workaround. Can anyone confirm t...

Even in my original post I never said they truly should be TTB.

I'm asking what the next big push is, because North Ridge operations alone are not sustainable.

Re: world cup sucks

So we can all agree they are making a business decision not to expand, not that the capacity is not there. We also should be able to agree that given the abnormal number of snowmaking days we've had that there should be a sufficient base on NRT served terrain. The frustration is with perceived progr...

Re: world cup sucks

Many hours of gun operation will be required to build the Superstar Glacier. Lots of time to get lost in the Superstar Whiteroom. I’m not a racer but I do get a thrill out making turns on the same snow that best female skiers of the world were on. Sorry that Killington is making your life a living ...

Re: world cup sucks

The World Cup doesn’t suck. But yes many people feel your pain. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately given the “facts” that have come out around general snowmaking capacity and the timing of top to bottom. I think the pain we feel the most is while other mountains are making a genuine push and...

Re: expansion

Reality check. Veterans Day is Friday the 8th. Hoping they get a little beyond the triple. This is what I am worried about too.. Early/late season is a big reason why I enjoy K. Lately it seems like early season only consists of the stairs and North Ridge. I understand the big terrain push after th...

Re: Connecticut and Rhode Island Lift Ticket Prices Up

RI native here and have snowboarded Yawgoo many times. It's great for what it is, and before I knew any better I thought it was a really serious mountain. It does have two "real" chair lifts.. The theme around here seems to be Yawgoo, then Wachusett, then you grow up and choose your favori...

Re: Speed Control at Killington

Young boarders "buzzing" other slower skiers/riders on green slopes for the thrill of it...that really grinds my gears. Had a daughter hit at high speed by a boarder who had laughed while missing others uphill. Almost killed the young man. . Young, novice skiers are some of the most unpre...

Re: Auto Repair Recommendations

I was on a joyride early afternoon on a saturday in K and my jeep started making an awful screeching/squealing noise from the front left wheel. I called Killington Auto and was connected with a woman who was not at the shop. That being said she was very nice. I had expected no one would be around an...

Thanks Jim, I'll have to be more cognizant of when old threads are resurrected. :bang
