Re: sunday 5/19 report
another winner in the books. a fine day. started and ended w sunshine. for me sunshine is the key. the usual 1st couple creamy runs on the groom before moving into the bumps. once again the morning bumps were magnificent. soft and corny but starting out bigger than friday's. went out for a mid-day ...

Re: Rickety old defunct lifts.
Most Rickety? Any rope tow powered by a gas truck/tractor/Jeep. Early chairlifts that had no rubber on the sheaves. Honorable mention to the lift at Sunday River (Spruce Peak Triple) that uprooted the entire summit bullwheel when the foundation split apart. . https://www.boston.com/wp-content/uploa...

Re: Superstar chair
Not a D line, and neither will Superstar be most likely. That would include labor. No ski area has the in house expertise to install their own detach. yes they do, they have the expertise but those workers are busy keeping existing lifts running and working on other projects. they dont have the lab...

Re: Timing of Killington Forward
clearly whomever made these sketches hasn't ever been to Killington. I don't really see Joey Jersey and New York Nicky enjoying whatever the f*** is going on in that photo... That’s not their market. Neither is Kzone, for that matter. Tying your panties in a knot over some sketches is a bit much. W...

Maybe said friend get a job ans actually work and they won’t need a voucher friend is disabled and subject to the whims of the bus route schedule which ends early in the summer (6pm), would you like to employ her? shes been employed locally before, un...

Re: Hannah Soar - Hometown Hero
yesterday while riding we ended up in similar timing and her crew was a ways behind her, hannah was taking an easier run on the smaller bumps formed post grooming and i managed to get directly behind her line and followed it, absolutely made my day that i was able to keep up with an olympic mogul s...

Re: Hannah Soar - Hometown Hero
When I do moguls, I feel like I have to go sideways on each bump to control the speed, she's just practically going in a straight line, amazing. I can study her form and sort of understand the technique, but if I tried to copy it, I would be airborne after the 3rd mogul. Very impressive! my skiing ...

Re: Preston's pitch?
Cool videos, thanks, hard to tell how they regraded it, they made it steeper or less steep? Why am I not recognizing the old K1 lodge, looks different? Or my memory is worse than I thought, gotta lay off that whacky weed... youre probably seeing the grand stands that are temporary for the event and...

Re: Preston's pitch?
So it's where you watch all the beginners wiping out on an icy day trying to survive sliding down on their asses. Is that section to the skiers left part of P.P, the part that's usually roped off, where I cut under the ropes to try and get some speed to the K1? no, its the main trail, just the last...

Re: Preston's pitch?
Thanks Skiadikt, I think I understand that description. So if I understand, it's where middle ovation ends right before lower ovation where you ski out to the right to get to S.S. From there to the bottom is P.P. I always thought it was the section to skiers left towards the bottom that's usually r...
