Re: Vermont saw a surge of newcomers during the pandemic
I say(no data, just observations)- if 10 families came during covid, after a year 6 remained, 1 more year 4 remained after 3 years 2-3 families will be the net positive. Rural life is not all people think it is, the idea of living at the mountains sounds "lovely" until you clear snow 3 day...

Re: 2023 Season Pass Pricing out -
The only upside to IKon being here is that the "peak days and weeks" are less busy then they were pre IKon. However, every other regular day is noticeably busier....

Re: Spring Wax
Get a warm temp wet wax, apply evenly and do not even bother scraping it the coarse snow will tear thru it. I've always been afraid to do this, but I've heard people say that... Don't you need the structure of the base or does that really not matter in the spring? After 4 moderate days, I literally...

No, the Loaf is not a viable place for year round living. We did live near there for almost 10 years.

Re: Timing of Killington Forward
Sounds like new trailside lots are selling well at Sugarloaf. Great Gulf is supposedly going to open up sales sometime this year, for condos at least, not sure about the home sites. Hello, I wanted to let you know that the launch of Dutchman Woods last weekend was a huge success! Over half of the s...

Random responses to above comments- -Safety, all lifts are inspected by the state to insure safe operational function. -Age, I just got back from Copper, I rode 2 lifts that make anything we have or the single at MRG look young. -Next replacement, Superstar is the next chair to be replaced. superst...

And yet a $3.3 Million property came on the market and was under contract in less than a week.... Million dollar second or third home buyers are not impacted by economic waves.

Re: Interconnect
Of course it is, the radio silence on the interconnect was just to make sure no more locals were scared away from the voting yes on the TIF. The interconnect drums will start beating louder and louder until the major press release. And that will be well timed along with the presale of the real esta...

Re: New lodge update
Cafeterias are not restaurants. Even restaurants at ski resorts are not typical restaurants. They bring their own premiums, due to their location. Still, $25 is steep. Apples to apples, attached are menus from JJ's lodge at Jiminy. If more modestly priced fare remains elsewhere at the resort (Jerk ...

Re: Mountain Green Sales?
Interestingly enough, as I understand it, the newer owners who paid up to get in are the ones actually OK with this, whereas some of the long term owners are not so much. i am guessing they have been dragging tons of rental income out of these and would just assume it stay that way by not having ass...

Re: Stowe Announces Pay Parking Plan
Stowes problem is a single access point, one way in/out.... I could see this happening at K when the village is built as a lot of parking will be pushed downhill.
