Re: Maybe it is Gonna be Crowded this Season Afterall

Just got back from the Mt Green front desk -- after an outstanding (and tiring) first day skiing. I was trying to shuffle around some my owner's reservations and wanted to take my unit off the market during Christmas week (we were originally going to stay home but C changed her mind). Turns out the...

Re: Supreme Court Nominees

Scalia and VP Cheney flew to the upper mid-west (I think MI or MN) to go duck hunting a few months ago. They were flown for free on a corporate jet, not at either personal or government expense. Also, this was shortly before Scalia was to participate in a vote regarding a public interest suit askin...

I spent about an hour on Rime and didn't see Jim either. Unless you were that guy with last year's Fischer World Cup GS's that my daughter and I shared the chair with.

Upper Bunny opened today as did part of lower Chute... Mouse Trap is BUMPED! Blowing on Skylark to High Road, and Rams head is being "deferred" till mid week... By Lower Chute do you mean the trail below the Mixing Bowl? If only part of it was opened did you have to take that small connec...

Yesterday the first 3 parking bays were full. By 10 am today, the entire KBL parking area was packed and cars were parked along both sides of the road all the way to Snowshed... I'd say it's gonna be a BUSY season..... (screw the political stuff) I agree that it is going to be more crowded this sea...

I've a pair of K2 3's, that I bought in 1994 or 5. They were my first and until this year, only skis. They were one of the original shaped skis and were considered good for their time. Biggest difference between the 3 and the 4 is that the 4 had some kind of piezo-electric device embedded in it that...

Re: Ashcroft Resigns

While I don't wish ill health on anyone, I'm overjoyed to see him going. I still wonder if he ever bothered to read the Constitution that he swore to defend. Yeah, at least Janet Reno could read and defend it, RIGHT. Oh, wait a minute. She killed people without proper authority. Bummer when SHE aut...

Yup. Gotta admit those short skis (to to be confused with shortski :) ) turn quickly. Also not worried about them snapping in two in the deeper trenches like I am with the bigger, softer, K2s -- which have been officially demoted to rock skis now. Also a whole sh!t load stiffer than the K2s were. He...

So I guess they didn't groom out E. Fall at all? Tomorrow is gonna be brutal on there. By day's end you're probably gonna need a rescue crew to pull gapers (like me) out of the crevasses between the moguls! Sprite No kidding. I'd guess some of the bigger ones came up to my waist (I'm a 6 foot...

Re: Political Civility

Two Singers Call for a Political Truce Rock singer John Mellencamp, a Democrat, and country singer Travis Tritt, a Republican, have teamed up to record What Say You, a song that makes a plea for political civility. “There’s a positive message and it’s that we should be able to say what is on our mi...

Since I was out, I'll give a quick report. Weren't alot of people out and about today. I expected alot of people to blow off work today, as I did, and make it a 4 day weekend. Guns were going on upper part of Cascade, Downdraft just above Great Northern and Bunny. As Bubba mentioned Skye/Bitter was ...
