Re: NPR - what we knew all along is true

Re: Is it time to move on from hosting the World Cup?
Vote to keep it, but I'd rather see it during an off-weekend in January or early December vs Thanksgiving break. There is lots of money for the community so the event can fill gaps for local business owners.

Re: Top 20 resorts in the east
Not surprised my local hill, Holiday Valley, made the list. They run a great operation. Sure the terrain isn't very exciting, but they have a great lift network and do a great job managing snow conditions on the hill. Town is great, too. Programs for my kids are also top notch. Too many cheating accusations. The integrity of the great is unshakable and that's just not his call sign.

Re: Killington Night Skiing Potential
Killington also had night pipe riding in the late 90s when the pipe (actually two pipes) were at the bottom of Highline. I think the space that the pipes occupied was called Model C Slope (why?). Those nights were was busy and a lot of fun. It was never too cold because you had to hike and you stay...

The stats today are pretty accurate, although technically I think the only ski resorts included are the ones that pay skivermont.com their annual membership dues. Basically everyone.
