Re: Timing of Killington Forward
So where on these drawings is the replacement parking lots? Will killington become a private resort for only the homeowners? Parking lots will line the access road from Mary Lou's up to the Distillery. There is a map somewhere. Unless they put a lift and a “ski to the parking lots” trail in, that r...

Re: monday 4/22 report
Ski’d 11-close.. Mountain started to soften a tad in the afternoon in spots. Soft corn moguls built on Lower Bitter and Lower Lark.. pretty pleasant. ROTD was middle-lower Supe at 3:55… the big yellow orb did a respectable job softening things enough to make it seem a little like spring. Shout out t...

Re: Only Superstar Quad After this Weekend!
I have a very low bar for “well run resort”… no suspension breaking pot holes in the parking lots, actual greeters communicating mountain status, newer lodges that aren’t reminiscent of bus depots, restrooms that get cleaned more than once a week, great web cams…. I definitely prefer K terrain/lifts...

Re: Only Superstar Quad After this Weekend!
I can’t remember a year I haven’t gotten a survey questionnaire from Killington on my satisfaction with the mountain/service, but, curiously none this year! Lot’s to bitch about… unplowed parking lots, lack of early season terrain, lack of communication about lifts on hold, Needles Quad debacle, rel...

Re: Spring Shrinkage Schedule ?
Based on previous years experience & expected snowpack, I would plan on having Bubble, K1, & Superstar running and likely Ramshead (but Ramshead lodge closed). Possibly Canyon Quad as well.. Needles appears to be done after this weekend... Kid-friendly depends on how the snowpack fairs betwe...

Day 35: 32 @ K, 1 @ Pico, 2 @ Sugarbush… 1.18M vert.
Doubts about any more full days of skiing left… transitioning to half days next week if the weather cooperates…

Bell-to-bell… groomers ski’d better than yesterday - less sticky all around … Adding to others reports… Gateway to SS Crossover nicely groomed w/creamy GS turns… Middle Vertigo soft but heavy. High Road hero snow. Light/moderate ra!ns showed up about 2:30ish but provided a little extra lubrication t...

Re: thursday 4/4 report
A typical K powder day - outstanding ski conditions but confusion and unpreparedness by K staff, as usual. Checked the app when I left the house at 8:40 for lift delays - Snowshed looks safe. NOPE! Got to Snowshed at 8:50 to discover after I started booting up in the lodge that all the lifts from th...

Re: Wednesday April 3rd Report
Ski’d bell-to-bell. Morning - Cruise maybe the best snow on the hill - late groom. Panic/Needles/GE/Lower High Road worthy of do-overs. Couldn’t find anything else of that quality although Snowshed Slope not horrible. That kinda day. The single stripe re-groom down Upper Bitter mostly served to crea...

Re: tuesday 3/12 report
Ski'd Grizz last run @ 4:20 no issues there. Although there appears to be a blowout between KSC & K1 lodge. Saw it Monday ... marked with bamboo and Monday there was alot of yellowish / brownish snow below it near the ski racks under the Gondola line...

Re: Do you trust the Skyeship?
F no. 2 years ago I had to let the lifty in the top shack know that the door in the cabin I rode up on was about to fall off…. The first COVID year was heaven for me being able to ride Needles Quad mid-week. I was talking to a lady this week whose cabin smashed into the cabin ahead of hers leaving t...

Re: The snow report is useless
There is a great scene in a Warren Miller film (I think it was Storm but not sure)... Warren says "Since the invention of snowmaking, no ski resort has ever reported conditions worse than "frozen granular"... this is frozen granular"... cut to video of people (even a dog) trying ...
Re: expansion
I think you're pretty much spot-on. I spoke to an off-duty snowmaker on the lift on Thursday and asked about lower GE & Bear Cub. Bear Cub not done yet because "they hadn't gotten to it." Lower GE was supposed to be done, but a "ball valve exploded" down by the river earlier ...
