Re: Friday 4/5 report
I suspect I wouldn't even know how to ski in powder but I'm still jealous because that looks beautiful!

Re: Easter Sunday 3/31
*shrug* The forum says chatter and I was in a chatty mood. I wanted to post a report since I very much appreciated the advice others had posted. Granted, I'm pretty sure I was mostly skiing easier trails that most of this board doesn't bother with but maybe there are other novices out there lurking....

Re: Easter Sunday 3/31
Thank you all for a wonderful first trip to Killington! Skied from 9:45am to 3:45pm. I was so happy that I didn't even take a lunch break and just munched on some snacks in the gondola. Mostly sunny for most of the day with a few passing clouds. Warm in the high 30s, maybe even to low 40s. Shockingl...

Re: Treezy? (intro to glades)
Ah...you all make an excellent point about being able to ski moguls. Sounds like I should practice more and maybe try next year since right now, I hate and fear moguls. But I'm saving these notes for the day when I feel I'm ready for the challenge. Thank you!

Re: Treezy? (intro to glades)
Thanks for the info! I'll avoid going into the trees unless I can find someone to go with me then. And if I do, Twister, here I come!

Treezy? (intro to glades)
This coming Sunday will be my first time to Killington and I've been trying to research the green trails and trying to figure out which are the easier blues. On the map, I noticed a green trail called Treezy that looks like it goes in the woods. I see people's photos and I'd love to try skiing in gl...

Re: Easter Sunday 3/31
Hardest green is probably Great Eastern, there's a few steeper pitches than most other greens, and it's a long thigh burner. The high traffic areas can bump up more than average. 2nd place would be Bear Cub, the S turns are challenging and frequently full of deep sugar snow & hardpack. Easy Blu...

Re: How far apart are Ramshead and Snowshed Lodges?
I was wondering this too. If I wanted to get from the green trails at Snowshed to the greens at Ramshead, is it best to walk the tunnel connecting the two areas? I started plotting paths across other green trails and other lifts but didn’t see a way to eventually ski between Snowshed and Ramshead

Do they then get to start skiing earlier in the day? Maybe that would be incentive to get up early and have fairly uncrowded conditions.

Re: Easter Sunday 3/31
Thanks so much, Southside_Bobby! What does "ncp" mean?
Also, I was told that at Loon, many of the blues would be considered greens elsewhere. Is there a guide somewhere pointing out the easier blues at Killington?

Easter Sunday 3/31
I'm thinking of joining a group bus trip to Killington Easter Sunday. I generally avoid skiing on weekends but it's a decent price and I'd like to squeeze in a few more ski days before the season ends. Will Killington be a madhouse on Easter Sunday? I'm a novice and have only been to Loon this seaso...
