Re: world cup returns in 2024
the one thing we have to hope for is that they DON'T rent out the venue for the week after the race. that would potentially push back the opening of the supe pod until dec 12 which is absolutely unacceptable . whatever problems the lift has had this spring, you can bet they'll be addressed this sum...

Re: Timing of Killington Forward
That’s not their market. Neither is Kzone, for that matter. Tying your panties in a knot over some sketches is a bit much.jimmywilson69 wrote: ↑May 3rd, '24, 08:58 clearly whomever made these sketches hasn't ever been to Killington. I don't really see Joey Jersey and New York Nicky enjoying whatever the f*** is going on in that photo...

Re: New lift planned
Reminds me of when Kraft started negotiating with the CT governor to bring the Patriots to CT. Fancy big stadiums were designed on cocktail napkins, financing was offered, news stations carried speculation. It reached a hot pitch. Boom, MA agreed to build a new stadium. I’m not particularly a fan o...

Re: New lift planned
Doesn't seem very will thought out. Requires either installing a bridge under the road after getting off the lift (expensive), or taking your skis off. It will need snowmaking, which will require cooperation from the mountain. However, Killington would want something that solves their new upper lot ...

Re: thursday 4/4 report
A typical K powder day - outstanding ski conditions but confusion and unpreparedness by K staff, as usual. Checked the app when I left the house at 8:40 for lift delays - Snowshed looks safe. NOPE! Got to Snowshed at 8:50 to discover after I started booting up in the lodge that all the lifts from t...

Re: SkyeShip Gondala > Number of busted chairs..
Although Superstar is a vital lift with many hours on it, if it weren’t for the World Cup I doubt we’d see that prioritized. The plan for moving it seems poorly thought out. Leave it where it is. Lately, POWDR’s interest in infrastructure seems to extend no further than improving how the resort is p...

Re: SkyeShip Gondala > Number of busted chairs..
Both the lift and the snow making are in poor shape. It will require a significant investment of capital to restore it to its glory. On top of that, it’s an expensive lift to operate, it requires a lot of manpower, more than a conventional chair or bubble lift. No doubt POWDR has mixed feelings abou...

Re: Wednesday April 3rd Report
Onto the SPE about 9:30 and immediately noticed the noisy surface. I’d find that to be the case everywhere at Bear. The forecast and the rising wind made me cautious about leaving that side; I didn’t want to end up calling for a ride or taking a bus. I talked to some peeps that came to Bear because ...

So you dump your girlfriend/quit your job/leave your resort and you expect her/them to beg you to take them back? That’s not how it works. It’s more like this:

Re: Easter Sunday 3/31
Someone was excited about their first trip to K and u guys sh*t on it. Way to be assholes. Why say anything at all? New here? Bit rich coming from a guy with (checks notes) 93 posts. Just because Kzone gives you the freedom to be an a**hole, doesn’t mean you should make that choice. I appreciated t...
