Re: Superstar 2024
Based on the trail report for tomorrow, Skye/Bitter is supposed to be open. Trail report today: Supe only. Left hand meet right hand? From the website... Our grooming team has put down fresh corduroy on skier's right of Superstar, while leaving the left side of the trail bumped up. They also have g...

Change the alignment, offset the top station from the existing station, leave the existing chair operational until the new one is ready, and then tear the old one out later... The new top station may need to be pretty much where the current one is. They aren't going to put it on Nivis. ts.jpg

Re: Middle East situation
I mean, we are the number one oil producing country in the world, so I think this judgment is a little misplaced. In any case, the market for oil is global and not subject to the control of any one country. Even OPEC struggles to regulate price. The only way to become truly independent of these cou...

crescent.jpeg I'm still trying to figure out what's going on in this rendering? :? Safdie.JPG One of the recent renderings showed "The Crescent" as having "summer performances" and "winter fire art". Perhaps there is supposed to be some kind of performance space ...

Re: Superstar chair
It can always just be used as a transfer lift. this is literally done at ski areas all over the world The Skyeship can't be used as a transfer lift without a bunch of work. The midstation (which is where you'd want to board for downloading) doesn't have a platform on the download side (and I suspec...

Re: Timing of Killington Forward
As Killington plans for increased summer offerings, Attitash is shutting them down due to lack of interest...for the second year in a row. Thanks to everyone who joined us on the slopes this season! It was great to see so many of you enjoying the mountain and riding the new Mountaineer lift to the s...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
They are open daily thru May 5th. Check the lift ticket sales portal. Easy hack to figure it out. This is also pretty much standard practice when the calendar comes around to it. They weren't going to close just for May 2nd, and they never suggested they would. They have been pretty clear about bei...

Re: "At least for now" Bonus weekend thread
Wish they would've just announced this beforehand. Now everyone was pissed off for nothing. If they were going to pick one lift to run, then K1 serves the most terrain. Not that I'm counting on it, but they have added extra lifts at the last minute in the past. For example, in 2022, it was supposed...
