Was there ever a better time for a viable 3rd party or independent candidate?easyrider16 wrote: ↑Feb 16th, '24, 15:45 What the F... talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
I really wish a 3rd party were viable in our political system because both of these choices suck.

Re: Sat. 2-17 Report
Double eject into the woods. Thought I broke my right shin until I stood up on it. Lost my other ski in the pow. Went to the bear bar and got some ice from ski patrol. Also asked them to mark the pipe. Pipedream now my nightmare for the day. Took a few afternoon runs, but my shin hurt to much when ...

What weakness? The athletes love the crowd and energy, the sponsors no doubt love the audience. Killington loves the exposure. It's a marriage, with the resultant squabbles.

Re: mike on the snowmaking plan
There is no real great alternative to get the SS lift off the trail entirely. If they move it closer to the lodge that would involve massive tree cutting, always fun in VT. If they run up the other side there isn't anywhere near as much cutting but then the snowmaking infrastructure is on the oppos...

Wind scrubbed areas were no fun, the rest was decent, and as skiadkt says even 4 inches skis like a lot when you're stahvin. Light traffic made it possible to still stay in the (tracked out) soft stuff at noon. The new snow should till in great and be a big improvement for tomorrow. Old Supe - ice f...

Replace cabins, drives and controls, detach machinery, stage interlock machinery, in essence new terminals.

That was day one after a r*in/freeze, so opening a shiny crossover would have had it's own issues. But in general I agree, that should be the plan if they have time to get patrol to open the nets.Stormchaser wrote: ↑Feb 13th, '24, 12:52 Killington should open the Snowshed Crossover when the Northbrook is down.

Don't they have a fair number of spare cabins? They could have kept the best ones from K1 before the upgrade and kept a few rehabbed ones at the ready.

Re: Of course it's IKON
Corporate consolidation of previously locally run resorts is just the start in what we are seeing with how these passes are making the customer suffer imo. Ski resorts in some respects may be on the path the airlines went. Deconstruct the product and charge more for all the extras. Now we have chea...
