Re: New lift planned
I don't really anticipate them switching. All of their detachables and most of their fixed grips are Poma. If they were to switch to Doppelmayr, then the entire lift maintenance staff would have to completely relearn how to do their jobs. And then they'd need to work with two manufacturers to keep ...

Re: Richard Nixon
Nixon, like Reagan, couldn't get elected in today's Republican Party. Nixon was, by today's standards, a moderate to liberal Republican who, along with Kissinger, focused more on foreign policy than domestic. His opening to China to blunt Russian influence would be pilloried today by the GOP. (He to...

Re: New lift planned
This drawing also shows the bridge being removed from The Grand, greatly increasing the walk. It doesn't show a relocated Ramshead lift. There is no accent on the value of slopeside condos, it's slopeside promenade. Strikes me as designed by someone at a desk, not someone who wants a ski village. Y...

Re: This is what Trump is all about
Given what we've learned about how Trump conducted business with his real estate company, it would not surprise me if he gets indicted over Truth Social's business at some point in the future. The whole thing has been shady, from the way it went public via a SPAC to the initial stupidly high valuat...

Re: Can the Republican Party Be Saved?
This is the party that thinks a national drivers license is like carrying an identity card and nixed the idea. Now everyone will be required to get a passport or other form of ID at or before their 18th birthday if they want to vote?

Re: SkyeShip Gondala > Number of busted chairs..
Closing the Skye Ship Gondola would set the relationship with the town back to where it was in the Fall of 2007 after Nyberg tried limiting its operation. Ain’t gonna happen.

Re: Mountain Green Sales?
Bear units had demand at 1.4 to 2M, for 2.8+ seems a tough sell. You can get in to Spruce Peak at Stowe for near those prices with way more amenities. They are built to order, not on speculation of sales. The potential tax bills are enough to cause indigestion. Will the asset bubble burst before vi...

Re: Biden Presidency
BTW, I think it's got nothing to do with Biden. Or Trump. Or any other politician. The credit goes entirely to American business and labor, who just keep killing it day after day. Contractors I've had out to my home will swear up and down the economy is in shambles, but when I try to schedule work ...

Re: Mountain Green Sales?
I'll add that the association has manipulated the ownership voting system in favor of securing approval for all voting matters. As is currently written, over 50% of the ownership must vote NO in order to decline a voting matter. They've removed 14% off the top for common areas (as if each owner doe...

Re: Mountain Green Sales?
One of the first rules in purchasing vacation property is not to buy it as an investment. You buy it because you want to enjoy it, and any subsequent appreciation in value comes as a bonus.

This phrase always bugs me. Is that the good news or the bad news?
