Re: saturday 12/9 report

some friends went to pico. apparently everything off the summit open. might have been a worthwhile call. Yes, minus upper GK and glades. Summit chair opened at 10:00 and we got there at 10:45. I thought the ROTD was upper pike, but really it was glorious everywhere. Even 49er skied well today. It's...

Re: Poaching

The sense on entitlement here is just insane. What's the first rule of life? Don't do stupid sh*t. What's the second rule of life? Don't get caught doing stupid sh*t. It's the classic example of fuk around and find out. Well, now you're finding out. Killington has been forever a complete joke when i...

Re: Hannah Soar - Hometown Hero

skiadikt wrote: Dec 7th, '23, 10:31 6 americans in the top 10. very impressive.
Just qualifiers. All that means is the top 16 of 35 competitors today get a chance to ski in the finals tomorrow.
Those 16 then get weeded down to 6 in the super final

But

You have to qualify first and she's done that.

Top of the pass, but Jake brakes on semis are loud.
There's plenty of other low profile places early and late season places too. These work before the snow push piles get too big. Message me if you'd like

Re: 2023 Freestyle Moguls WC

I'd gladly trade this for the other World Cup. If they used OL, then it would be like the BMMC on a professional level, and doesn't require a massive snowmaking commitment that cripples the trail rollout for the first 6 weeks of the season. Careful what you wish for I guess. Most times those compet...

Re: 2023 Freestyle Moguls WC

Yes I don't think this would have anywhere near the impact as the alpine WC does. OL is tailor made for an event like that, it would be epic. Especially if the Fiddle gets filled in as planned to offer more terrain. Waterville somehow got the freestyle mogul World Cup back and that venue (Bobby's R...

Re: Is it time to move on from hosting the World Cup?

I thought I saw in the mountain times that Killington and FIS agreed to a three year deal this past summer. Don't like Killington pre Thanksgiving, use your multi pass and ski/ride somewhere else. I know a lot of Killington peeps are at stratton and sugarbush this weekend for more varied terrain opt...

Re: friday 11/17 report (not k)

bit of trepidation filing this but here goes ... done w the stairs. hit up opening day at okemo. absolutely blew k away. great new snow that softened quickly. not as crowded as k with plenty of room to let the skis run. finally felt like i skied. 1660 vertical feet in 7.5 min off that 6-pack (didn'...

Re: Killington Night Skiing Potential

That sounds a little dicey! I've always thought it would be cool if they set up Gnomes Knoll over at Pico for night skiing. It could probably be successful - leave the pub open for dinner, move the terrain park back to Triple Slope. I bet they would get some takers! The explanation I got was basica...
