Re: Bodie Miller's brother found dead

Thank you for posting. Only 29 years old, very sad. He was a great athlete in his own right. I've heard stories of him snowboarding the back side of Cannon. Also, he was in a Warren Miller film.

Re: What would you rather see happen at Killington?

3. The same as Bubba for the village. If and when a village comes it needs to be one that includes everyone. Agree, I was at Stow last season; below is a picture of one of the cafeterias in the new village. It's nice but, doesn't feel like a ski lodge. And the people don't act like they're at a ski...

A new Southridge lift. Sorry, not on your list but, I think a new lift there is needed the most.

Re: Mt Katahdin Chimmney Skiing

kinda reminds me of the top of catwalk ... super steep no fall zone but the guy pretty much side slipped his way down. Yea, the skiing was very conservative as you said NFZ. He has a ski pole in one hand and an ice axe in the other. I thought it was more interesting for the terrain. Looks like one ...

Mt Katahdin Chimney Mountaineering / Skiing

I stumbled across this video and thought some of you might want to see it. Hard to believe this is in New England.

Re: BIG Cat spotted

If there are claw marks it might not be a cat. Cats don't normally walk with their claws out.

Re: Deadly stupidity

I was at Cannon 7 or 8 years ago when there was snow tubing on what is now the Huckerbrook trail. There was a large snow berm at the bottom of the run to stop the tubes. I had just taken my skis off at the lodge and looked up the hill and two young girls on one tube cam over the berm and were headed...

Re: DJ's Tram Line photos-Cannon

Cool, thanks for the post. I've skied Cannon many Times but, never DJ's Tramline. I could handle the steeps but, the rocks leave no room for error. I asked ski patrol about it back in '07 when it was loaded with snow and I was thinking about it. I was told there was 15' of manditory air at the top (...

Re: Cannon & Mittersill report

Cannon looks great. Nice to see Mittersill open. This is were I ski 90% of the time (it's only an hour from my house). When Cannon has good snow it's one of the best mountains in the east. The manager that came over from Sunday River a few years ago has made a big difference in the quality of the sn...

Re: Skis.

f.a.s.t:
Yes, Rossi Strato 105. The old brown Rossis with gold lettering. My father had a pair back in the early 80's and when I broke my Rossi ST Comps I used the 105s. I was the only one on the hill with safty straps. Loved the old brown skis. :like
