Re: Access to PUBLIC LAND is now a violation?!
If a ski instructor can't chase down a 5 year old, then they don't have the skills necessary to protect their students on the hill. We're not talking grampa versus his grandkids here... And when the did catch the kids, turn their asses around and start them booting back up where the came from . . I...

Re: Historical trail closure patterns
East facing trails without snow making will go first. Southwest facing trails will go first. Please name one trail at Killington that faces SW There isn't much...but it's greater than zero! First part of Gateway/Skyewalker/Southridge Link off the back of Superstar lift. Ridgeview to first part of B...

Re: Historical trail closure patterns
Winter in central VT is now pretty much like what winter used to be like in north central NJ where I grew up back in the 60’s and 70s. Winter in NJ is now basically non-existent, a short-lived cold snap here and there and a couple of small nuisance snowstorms if that. Significant rainstorms in VT i...

Re: Closing Skyship
That seems like it is a bad look on a holiday week. All eyes are on, and that seems like a pretty visible failure. 2 mornings in a row they didn’t open stage 1 on time., Even more so considering wait times were over 20 minutes in the lift line. Waited on Sunday for 45+ minutes as it stopped over an...

Re: lift & trail reports
so they have a mountain opps and a separate ski patrol list of slopes that are being maintained? Who is putting these things into the website and the app? is that person having to look at 2 lists? I'd think the app and website were linked but who knows... From what I've seen, I think the App and th...

Re: Historical trail closure patterns
East facing trails without snow making will go first. Gotta disagree with you. Southwest facing trails will go first. South vs North: Pretty easy to figure this one out. East vs West. Sun is on the East facing trails in the morning when it's still cold out from the night. West facing trails get the...

Re: Can the Republican Party Be Saved?
If you really think that both sides dont do the majority of things on that list then there is no point in trying to have a intelligent conversation with you. You are either trolling or just plain stupid. Arguing with morons is futile; they drag you down to their level and then beat you up with expe...

Is Vermont the next Texas?
A Vermont resident sounded the alarm Tuesday about the northern border after making "unsettling" discoveries outside her home and on her property. Highgate resident Kristy Brow caught migrants on security cameras outside her house and has even discovered abandoned belongings as the number...

Re: The Trials Of Donald Trump
Gonna laugh my ass off if he has to sell Trump Tower or Mar a Lago to pay that debt. Case will spend years, if not a decade, going thru the appeals process. Doesn't he have to post a pretty expensive bond just to get an appeal? That's the case with the Carroll appeal https://www.marketwatch.com/sto...

Re: Is Killington for sale?
I mean how much do you think they had to shell out for that special part at the Needles quad? And how much did they save on not running and manning the lift all year? Gotta be a wash. I doubt they saved anything on labor - those lifties weren't fired, they were probably just repurposed. Kinda hard ...

Re: mike on the snowmaking plan
There is no real great alternative to get the SS lift off the trail entirely. If they move it closer to the lodge that would involve massive tree cutting, always fun in VT. If they run up the other side there isn't anywhere near as much cutting but then the snowmaking infrastructure is on the oppos...
