Re: saturday 5/11/2019 report
Helmets aren't that hot if you take off the ear muffs. I watch people sweating in the spring with the helmet on with the ear muffs attached and dont get it. Take them off and the helmet is as cool as a bike helmet. keeps the wind out...unless it's a really warm day mine are on.... one spring mornin...

Re: mtn closed friday, reopen saturday
This best guess, not going to open due to perceived bad weather sounds like CT school systems closing due to expected snow fall / freezing temps. Snow day typically produces a fine cover that a bike could handle. Ah, they ways of the world and fear of a law suit.
Re: May 1st
I worked 2 or more May Day races. Only difference was Witch side of the pipe they set up on. Looks like they are using stop watch hand timing.RustyK wrote:Wow. I've never seen the May 1st race set up so low on Sup.

Re: Trump Presidency
Johnson was Impeached after taking office from Lincoln. He did not get convicted by the Senate. Tricky Dickey was Impeached but resigned before it went to Senate trial. Most recent was (drum roll please) Slick Willie (aka Bill Clinton). He was Impeached by the house but the Senate never got it on th...

Re: Mexicans don't know where their border is
First, remember the Alamo. Second, I saw this... If they hurt them we should march them back to oh say Mexico City. Slash and burn, they'll never scorch their own land. Further, a large part of the gulf on the Pacific down there is a sh*t hole, might as well carpet bomb that at the same time. The R...

Re: Goodbye, Glades/Northridge Triple
I've ridden the Glades/North Ridge triple many times since I first rode it in 1994. Granted I've never ridden it during Fall opening but I've never experienced a long lift line or a lift shut down on that lift. Somebody just mentioned how reliable the lift has been. So what is Killington's rational...

Re: Vermont to bring back Happy Hour?
Yep, you can have "daily" pricing, HH prices. BUTT, you must apply the prices to all and there cannot be a time limit except that day. I'll drink to that.daytripper wrote:Happy hour would be illegal, but happy day would be ok.

Re: Still no Under 30's Pass = Goodbye Killington
Eh, try learning to ski on rented equipment ($3.50 / weekend, and the pay of a AF Staff Sargent. A good weekend was driving from Cheyenne past Laramie and up the Snowy Range. Discount tickets for military was $4.00 or something like that. Steam Boat was a whopping $8.00 / day for Military. My pay ch...
