Re: saturday 1/20 report
Sounds like a bunch of folks went on the back country tour today. On 1/20/2024, at approximately 1430 hours the Killington Police Department was notified of 7-9 lost skiers/snowboardes in the backcountry. Killington officers spoke with VSP SAR Coordinator Drew Clymer and through investigation it was...

Re: Wednesday, January 10 (Taylor’s Version)
Bubble loaded on time. Ski bum race was cancelled so we warmed up an ungroomed Highline. Hit the North Ridge Quad at 9:30 just as they started loading. First tracks on Upper Ridge Run that held the driest powder on the mountain. Lapped the North ridge for awhile. LEF had full on super manky mix. Loa...

Re: Vermont's Tax System
What about the skiing inequality? Having to ski all the days that I do to make up for those slackers seems unjust. Everyone should ski their fair share.

Re: Operational Failures
Anyone who thinks Mike and Tate are doing a good job are smoking some good crack. 6” of snow and all major lifts delayed. Same as last year. Tait Germon is our director of mountain operations. Spelling counts if you are calling someone out by their first name. The J1 work force do not have their ow...

Re: State fo VT seeks answers to solving the housing crisis.
The housing crisis is by design and laws. Vermont took control of development in the state back in 1970 with act 250. Idea was to prevent the state from looking like New Hampshire. Highly successful. The planners want any development to occur in our small cities were all the government services are ...

Re: Access Road Speed Limit
Once you pass the Lookout you are on resort property when headed to the mountain. We get the extra lane and the speed limit is driven by skier stoke. This has not changed.

I'm a Jaded Killington Local just like the sticker on my helmet says.
Re: Poaching
Folks that I know that got their pass pulled were all in the canyon. Hard to argue with hi def photos as it appears Killington has made some upgrades. Mistakes were made as one of my ski bum teammates had his pass pulled but he had not ducked any ropes. The resort did admit to the mistake and reissu...
Re: Poaching
So back to poaching- anyone go out to coops lately? Granted not talking about ducking west glades rope if it is up but we have some friends that haven’t been to K that want to see it but noticed that new patrol shack with a sign saying “smile your on camera”, along with this talk of rfid tracking o...
Re: Poaching
Latest number I heard is they are up to 100 with half of the offenders being employees. The paying customer gets a two week sentence if it is their first offense. The employees or their dependents lose lift riding privileges for the season. The rules have always been the same. They just have a few n...
