Sunday report...Alta/Bird

Just another day in paradise...

And they claim that alta/bird gets tracked out fast??? HA....this is literally days after any significant snow.

In all honestly. This is INBOUNDS, however it was scored kinda "illegally". We noticed a few hikers hiking a ridge none of has ever seen "open". What the heck...maybe they changed something? Oh well..hike up (about 10 min) and score a couple hundred verts of creamy fresh. Well...it wasn't "opened". Snowbird patrol gave us a talking to (very pleasant about it), and admitted they needed more signage up there. "don't do it again" and we were off.

Was a nice score and until it snows again i can look at the tracks i laid for days to come.

Hey don't rub it in - some of us cannot afford to go out West right. I've been there in the past though.

you can't afford not to go - United $300 r/t LaGuardia-Denver. Cheap car rental rates @ airport. Super 8 in Dillon $80 bucks a night. Huge amount/variety of food/drink. No excuses.

I can fly FREE on United, US AIR or Delta with POINTS. Still have to pay for Lodging, Lifts and FOOD. So, can't afford to go on current limited funds. Sometimes life sucks. BUT, I can still go NORTH to Killington and slide on the Glacier!

When you are unemployed then even $300 is too much to spend on pleasure.

A bunch of us are headed out there for a week starting on the 20th - staying @ Brighton. You suggest we just wake up and go where the fresh is? All boarders, so no Alta...

Well ill hope for snow for you.....i'd say keep your options open. You're at least going to be on the right side of the wasatch..the FRONT......we've got all the snow on this side.

7-10 day forecast isnt lookin pretty. Maybe you'll bring it with you. Otherwise us locals have to hope for a BIG MARCH!

Looks me up when you come out. I can ski bird for the day if you're all boarders, though i wont be able to give you the official tour as a lot of my "secret" spots snowboarders really cant get to.
