The girl at Phat Italian told me on Thursday that the Needles operation should be up and running within the next couple of weeks.

What is the hold up? Am I the only one who thinks this seems like a lot of investment and construction to miss the boat on most of the season, and for a location that will be open from Mid-December to last weekend in March each year? Better get open by President's weekend/week...

Anna's is in the Snowshed lodge on the 2nd floor if you need a quick fix.

I wonder if the holdup is between K and Phat or just on Phat's end.

I will try Anna's at Snowshed. Never had it. Open mid-week?

I would guess it's on Phat's end since they're already open in the Pico base lodge.

I spoke to the guy from Phat at Pico and he said it is unlikely that the Needles operation will be open this season. They were planning on doing some things they haven't tried before, like pizza, and he said they just don't have it together yet, and he doesn't want to do it half assed.

He did say that K is planning on putting in restrooms at Needles next summer.

A restroom at Needles Eye would be great. I wouldn't mind if it is made out of cedar and toasty warm like the yurt. Mints are nice too.
