wednesday 1/18/17 report

Post by skiadikt »

missed out on the pow feeding frenzy at the open. arrived for the afternoon shift. nats & some trees back open for business. perfect snow for what we needed. bear claw, lower skye burst, lower wildfire and bittersweet skied well. new snow pushed into piles. low angle bear trees were fabulous. upper needles very good. old supe into mid-o was excellent. the weed side of lower o was fine. north star surprisingly good. for the most part patsies skied well, but you had to be careful. escapade my only disappointment. flat with ice patches in one section.

It was good (skiing is always better than not skiing)...but believe me it was no "pow day!"

No worries, you did not miss out if you were not there. :)

Watch out for buried tree stumps - they can do a number on your achilles tendon!

they've been known to wreck a sled or two as well...a little easier to fix though...good luck w your recovery, follow instructions and do the PT religiously...the hardest part is that w tendon/ligament damage, less is often more...drove mrs hatter nuts to go to her 3 week appointment expecting to be able to do more PT only to have the dr tell her "no, you need to allow that mcl to completely tighten up, then re-stretch it" evenly via PT exercises under strict form...
