2016-2017 was average

That's right.

Total snowfall to date is 252 inches, which is the official boy scout honor average snowfall here at Killington.

Of course this is from the folks that tell you the Peak Lodge is 4,241 feet, so a grain of salt might be in order.

the valentine's week dumps were right up there as well.

roller coaster season for sure. sometimes you can't just go by the numbers. many folks remember 2014-15 as being "epic" despite only 197". thing is we had nearly 2 months when it never got above freezing.

yep, anything we did get this year was followed by meltdown...oftentimes the naturals were nearly depleted by the time the next storm rolled in...

No doubt a season of massive swings of the pendulum. I don't remember the exact numbers but I remember laughing that Pico was reporting something like 60 inches of snow even before their first operating day, yet the mountain was completely bare.... and that pattern of snow / melt continued throughout the season. This season without a doubt had some of the best ski days in recent memory and also some of the worst.

Another point was that we again had a great base in the woods and then completely lost it. Woods skiing was below par imho.
