Thanks for reminding me why my son listened to Dead every night to put himself to sleep and why I fell asleep in a stadium filled with thousands of people. ; } They are so calming...I won't say droning like some do because I love Grateful Dead. But I only went to Buffalo in 1990 to make sure my son came back alive. I thought CSN was awesome as the opener.
My son was 17 and he was going with friends that were all 18. I said No! but they begged so I said , " Get me a ticket "
We went in 2 cars , 10 hours each way. On the way back , after they partied ALL night , I was watching the rearview and saw the passenger pull his arm in to turn and fall asleep. So I planned to pull in to the next rest area and see if the driver was going to make it , when he sideswiped a semi. It was only by the grace of God the kid pulled his arm in and they got the car under control. My son drove my car as he had been sleeping and I drove that kid's $500 shitbox for three hours and let him sleep. That car wasn't worth crap before the accident!
Anyway;moral of the story: My son said, " thanks , Mom"
Now , maybe I haven't skied Sugarbush enough to know the character well enough...HS 4/17/2007
