apparently lots of folks up there this weekend who shouldn't have been. a number of skiers got swept down the hill and lots of ragdolling. yeah woo-hooo ...

Ain't that what the lunch rocks are for, sitting around eating, drinking the grape with a safe place to hide from avalanches? Then of course it is the front row seats to watch stupid people tricks, such as riding said avalanche, and cheering the survivors.

Maybe safe place to hide from avalance, maybe not. But, probably the place that gets hit most by falling ice. When we were there a couple of weeks ago, about 5-10 pieces of ice between the sizes of a basket ball and a large cooler all came falling down at once at speeds that looked like 50-60 mph. Not a safe place, but, that's a chance you take if you go up.
