I bet the least favorite is the Snowden Quad . .

North Ridge Triple is my least favorite. For the amount of time every winter I spend squeezed 3 tight on that chair. Upgrading the North Ridge chair to a modern quad before replacing the South Ridge would be my choice.

Yes, putting more people in an already extremely overcrowded area would be a great idea. Also, a Quad runs slower than a Triple.

I've hardly ever seen a terribly long line on that chair, and the majority of my visits are on weekends during the main part of the season. I've also rarely ridden it three-abreast. Even when there IS a line, it generally loads in ones and twos, unless there are three people who are actually skiing together.

I wouldn't be surprised if the NRT is next to be replaced after the Snowdon Quad and the SRT. It's a crucial lift, not one of the newest ones, and it had some outages this year.

Other than early season, there's never much of a line at the NRT. I see no reason to up that to a quad. And a quad runs slower than a triple? What's up with that? Line speed is line speed. What I would like to see them do is wrap GN clockwise around Killington Peak, and connect with upper Ridge Run, getting rid of all those cross overs. For you bleeding hearts, Ridge Run is the crappiest natural snow trail on the mountain.

Max legal line speed on a FG Quad is slower than on a FG Triple. 450fpm for a Quad, 500fpm for a Triple.

Will never happen, but it would be nice.

a quad would certainly be useful early season when lift lines reach 15-20 min. try getting the permitting for that rerouting. never ... in addition upper ridge run while overrated as a black trail, is definitely not a green trail. crappiest nat trail? we often enjoy the bumps and it's the first nat trail they usually "open".

Back to Southridge....

So lets just say they are going to put a Poma up Jug to the top where the old top SRT station went. Is there a reason why they couldn't do some glading skiers right of jug and reglade what was echo woods? Looks like there is already a runout with what I think is solitude back to the South Ridge base? That would be a sweet addition.

Personally I like Pomas they provide a good leg workout and weed out the overweight outta shape kooks. This would also keep the snow surface in the south ridge area prime for locals and those qualified to enjoy that area since they are the only ones who have ever used it.

Bash Away.

Clockwise around Killington Peak would be nice. I doubt it would happen.

Echo woods was a handful of narrow paths through the woods between Jug and Upper Pipe Dream, or skiers left of the jug. It never really was a glade.

There is no skiing to skiers right of the jug, the woods are too dense and the land is protected, so no glades there.

It was a glade originally when first planted. The whole area was burned out. When it grew back it was just luge chutes through the pines, not much fun then, or now. It's way too flat for a glade if you ask me. Keep it grown in as a wind barrier.
