So far I can only find 1 con and a boat load of pros. The con is a bad one though. Tasty weed edibles getting into the hands of kids who think it's candy and sweets.
Once that is solved I'm 100% on board.

You know what would be good for Killington? This would be good for Killington. You want to make sure VT is the ski destination for Metro Boston/NY and the whole east coast this would do it. Oh yea, and VT would rake in millions. Better act soon this advantage will not last forever.

In CO, edibles are packaged in those really hard to open pressure sealed plastic wrappers. The package is then placed inside another opaque plastic wrapper with an outside zipper lock – um, so I’m told.Woodsrider wrote:So far I can only find 1 con and a boat load of pros. Granted, this is far from perfect and a locked up cookie is a very different temptation than a locked liquor cabinet, but at least they recognize the problem and are iterating on possible solutions.

The government of VT paid for the Rand study. I think this will happen within two years. Having VT farmers supply half the bud is a great way to revitalize farms.
In NH this will be like casinos (I am against having them in NH). Once NH sees millions of dollars leaving the state the politicians will come around.

Vermont lawmakers are threatening to make alcohol (beer, wine, etc.) illegal if weed is not legalized. They're trying to bring attention to the lack of logic in current law. Imagine Vermont with no beer?

They know if they let the people decide it will pass. Nice to see someone playing the gay/holocaust card. Sen. Becca Balint (D-Windham) made an impassioned plea to fellow Democrats not to use the ballot box to decide social issues. As a gay person with family members who were killed in the Holocaust, she said, “I can’t tell you how terrified I am when it comes to referendums. We don’t have control over what the questions are going to look like in future.”
