Of course you will be welcomed. The site should be on the access road near the Superstar Quad. Look for a bunch of people who are not looking at their phones but rather are conversing with each other.

saturday may be the last hurrah as far as apres tailgate goes, 'hatters are in we'll be bringing chicken skewers and the world famous madhatter lemonade....probably some beer too...I know some of the usual apres cast is unavailable this weekend, but who's IN? Backup plan has us at the Clear for the sled club's annual landowners appreciation party if no one shows at K for apres....

forecast at this time is favorable for roadside shenanigans....

always in for roadside apres shennannegins!

may the weather do us proud and over-deliver!

mid-may, worst winter of the century, still skiing.

While the temps look good for Saturday, I'm not into the forecast and the ride up. Prolly gonna bail.

Friday Night...Showers likely. Lows in the upper 40s. Light and variable winds. Chance of r*in 70 percent.

Saturday...Showers likely. Highs in the mid 60s. Southwest winds around 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of r*in 60 percent.

Saturday Night...Showers likely. Lows in the upper 30s. Chance of r*in 60 percent.

Sunday...Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Highs in the upper 40s.

Wunderground not showing r*in until later in the afternoon on Saturday. I think it will be a good day (fingers crossed).

I'll make some runs w/ya 180, don't have to be a race, can just be me trying to keep up w ya...hopefully some nice lines can form out there, cuz its been rather spotty and erratic most of this spring to call any of it "nice"...lots of stop bumps and lots of widely spaced bumps, not too many "zippers"...just hasn't been enough days in a row w bodies on the hill and temps above the grooming range to tighten things up like last spring...

2:38 pm 05/12/16--Here we go again, skiers and riders! The forecast for this weekend looks gorgeous so join us tomorrow for soft turns under the sun.

For reopening on Friday, expect just the Superstar trail. Grooming will be utilized to fill in a few thin spots, but we'll start the day with bumps on both sides of the trail. Surely it won't be long before the whole trail is again bumped wall to wall. Open terrain will be for advanced skiers and riders. Spring conditions and thin cover exist; ski and ride with care.

Superstar Express Quad will spin 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Fridays, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturdays and 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Sundays as long as the snow holds out - only Mother Nature knows for sure.
that's just a bit optimistic I think....

^^ optimistic is a nice way of saying disingenuous. the forecast has improved a bit overall but still potential trouble each day.

it would have been really nice if K had set the spring operations so that on a week like this one, they throw a thursday in there. hoping for the best, bringing wet weather gear, wet weather beer ;o]

well, just as k serves veggie burgers, i'll be bringing veggie sausage.
this brand is outstanding:

i've had many meat eaters ask me where they can get the stuff after tasting it.

similar to those vegan restaurants in chinatown (nyc) that offer a faux-meat versions of the standard fare.
