42 today and it wasn't pretty. Chatter ice until it was skied down. Kids did a good job with the moguls on Highline, but getting there was an adventure.

B-36 Peacemaker. This Convair bomber was capable of flying a full 10,000 miles without refueling. It is the lagest prop driven airplane ever built.

We had one at Rantoul, IL training base. It was so aerodynamic they had to modify it because a strong wind picked up the nose and broke the tail section off. Very impressive looking when standing near it.

Back on the East Coast after my 3-week stay in Colorado. Hoping for some snow in VT before my return week after next. Otherwise the return to reality is going to be a shock.

Day twenty four at Cannon Mountain.

After five days of skiing first chair to last chair in Vail I came home to three feet of snow on the ground and blew out my back carrying in fire wood. I've been on the disabled list and I had not skied since my last run at Vail, the back country tour down the Minturn Mile for après ski at the Saloon. That is nothing though as I have been in mourning.

I dedicated day twenty four to my father, and skied with him all day for the first time ever. The older he got, the more he asked me about my skiing.
He passed away two days after my return from Colorado. I loved skiing with him yesterday.
