Hey does anyone know if Picaridin based bug sprays really do work well on humans? I have given up on the hippy natural stuff. They suck and you can actually hear the freaking mosquitos giggling while they suck you dry if your ears are good enough. I have to drive across northern Ontario in a few weeks and am trying to properly arm myself.
I have not tried that stuff yet, but have been using Repel lemon eucalyptus for ticks this spring. It does smell funny!
Good luck up in Canada with the bugs. When we drove across Labrador on Rt 500 in August the black flies were still very hungry!
did a camping trip through ontario late june one year and the little fuggers had us practically trapped in our tent.

btw looks like a pow day out there this morn.

If the mosquitoes in northern Ontario are anything like I think they are, you may as well use a shotgun.

As usual, the forecast for the last few days was wrong, and today's outlook now is almost r*in free. Currently a bright thin overcast, and the day will be good skiing at most times, maybe all times. Note to all week ahead, month ahead, winter ahead type forecasters - your ouiji board might have better flashing lights and graphics now, but it's still a ouiji board.

Opened drapes expecting to see all snow gone after yesterday’s precip!! Well, it’s not a lot, maybe an inch, but shows it got cool enough to snow here .... fingers crossed for more in the Glades area:)

I'd say about 3" at the top. Snow line well down the mountain.
Untouched areas [e.g., Catwalk, when you cross over it on the walkway] looks like it's got 4 to 5" on it.
Goes to show, you don't never know
